COMPARISON OF MOBILE VERSION AND WEB VERSION OF
GOOGLE DOCS
The Google Docs app contains almost all of the same features as the web-based
version, but we can see it that there are some differences when it comes to the
features in between the two versions. There are certain features that are available in
mobile app version but are not found in web version and vice versa. Both versions
allow users to create, view and edit a file, allow to use voice typing rather than
keyboard typing, both versions can be saved in Google Drive and both offers different
styles of templates and both versions can edit offline but need the document to
switch it to available offline and also can share and export the files or documents.
Google Docs features have limitation with both versions. The web version of Google
Docs features offers various font style which many of them cannot be found at app
version. It can possibly translate different languages; it has a lot features offer than
the app version. On the other hand, the app version of Google Docs features is it is
handy when downloaded in mobile and ca edit on the go. The files or documents are
easy to save in mobile app version and users can use board that can easily encode the
content and it can get images without leaving the app. But there is less features of
mobile ap version than the web version of Google Docs. Both users’ ca freely use the
Google Docs and it is good to the users to be productive.
Why do you think the developers created such?
Developers created Google Docs to be able to import, edit and create a document
at the same time, users can produce text documents, slide presentation,
spreadsheets, drawings and surveys. Different versions and different features were
created by the developers maybe because of the reason that they look for the
capabilities of netizens on what type of version they will use and also the ability of the
versions to offer on that type of features. Web version offers lot of features rather
than the app version and both versions bring advantages and disadvantages in using
of it, especially when the features we are looking for are not accessible in the version
we used. Google Docs developers was also smart for they create this type of app
which are very useful and bring availability to any type of users.
Which features would you like to see that are missing from
either version of the app?
Features I want to see in Google Docs in both versions are the plain text file
support, the Gmail and task integration which will be the email thread will be change
into docs’ document. The availability to edit offline because the Google Docs offer the
view-only offline of the document which cannot be edited when you are offline. The
feature also that the Google Docs will not require internet connection, because there
are users like students doesn’t have internet connection and also in the business for
the employees or the system don’t need to connect to the internet. Also, the freedom
of the users to create customizable styles or design for them to be more creative and
can make what idea comes in their mind. With this feature that will be added, Google
Docs will be more productive and more creative in businesses or student works and
also many users will be use in web version and install the app version.

COMPARISON OF MOBILE VERSION AND WEB VERSION OF
INSTAGRAM
The web version of Instagram is very similar to the mobile app. Everything
the user’s desire can possibly do with both versions. Both versions feature stories
and both can automatically like by clicking on it. Another feature that can be seen
in both versions are the videos or photos are displayed at the center of the screen
and both versions allow the users to comment and react in a post. But there are
features that offered mobile version but not in web version or vice versa. In web
versions, the icons are place at the top right corner and stories are shown at the
right side. Instagram does not allow users to upload any content in web version
and does not offer shopping features. The videos can be easily pause by clicking it
as well as the pictures by clicking it twice. While on the other hand, the mobile
version has a small difference with the web version, in mobile version Instagram
features the icons are placed at the bottom and stories are displayed at the top.
Offers IGTV as well as shopping features which users mostly visit and allow users
to upload any type of content. Users can send direct messages and can video call
in mobile version. Instagram can be easily open in mobile version but in the web is
not as easily accessible and handy because you need PC or Mac. Both give users an
opportunity to visit their accounts but there are also limitations both versions.
Why do you think the developers created such?
Developers created Instagram for networking services and allow users to
upload media that can possibly edited with different types of filters and be shared
publicly and also for giving pleasures or entertainment of the users. Developers
created different version and different features of it because netizens have
different objectives in using of it. Instagram is accessible to those users who have
smartphones and have an ability to download the app version, which offers a lot
features than the web version. Also, developers created various features in
different versions due to the dissimilarity of the ability for the Instagram to work
and the availability that the both versions can offer to the users.
Which features would you like to see that are missing from
either version of the app?
Features I want to see in both versions of Instagram are the gaming feature
and the ability to send any files or attachments. Instagram will not just for
entertainment but also can add up fun with the gaming feature which help the
users when the boredom strikes or if the users get tired of scrolling. This is where
users will proceed if the boredom hit them. I also want to see the ability of
Instagram to send any type of files or attachments for it will help the users be
productive and will not be hard for them to send the file. By these two features
that I want to see and if possible, to be offer, this will bring a great impact to the
Instagram and to give more entertainment, fun and as well as productivity to the
users and possibly many users that are going to use this kind of software
application in either version.

What do you like best?
It is free. Functionality is very powerful; supports almost all data sources
you would like to connect to it. Bugs are getting fixed quickly, a lot of
updates with new functionality. Really love their answers section.
What do you dislike?
Canvas for dashboards is limited. Can't blend data coming from different
data sources. In case if data is stored in a different database, you first need
to pre-process it in some sort of DWH before getting connected to
Metabase.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you
realized?
The "Answers" feature is super nice allowing users to create and store data
queries "answering" some specific questions. You can also re-use saved
answers in dashboards later. Alert to Slack is also very helpful. Allowing you
immediately (once an hour) to get an update once there is a potential
problem with data.
Why Metabase?
Metabase offers most of its features for free.
You can keep track of your sales and ratings with just
a few clicks. Accounting is also served with the
metabase and there will be no worries with lost
documents as the application also includes an
automatic cloud saving. Metabase is an improved
database software and although free, still adds
enough functionality in your business processes. This
links in your email so you can also get notified about
your customers away from the shop. Metabase is
also easy to get used with.
