BUSINESS MANAGEMENT THEORY I INCORPORATE MYSELF WITH The shift to a more humanistic approach in management was done during the era of behavioral management in the mid-1910s from a mostly science-based approach. This model allows for a deeper understanding of humans by focusing on its behavior. And personally, I always see people in a more intimate manner rather than seeing them as objects which can only be managed solely through complete scientific methods. I think humans will always be unique from one another thus, you always have to have a different approach when dealing with them. Specifically, under Behavioral Management Theories, we have the Theory X which was developed by McGregor. In this theory, it takes a more pessimistic view of other people. Viewing life in a more pessimistic way is not actually a sign of unhappiness but rather a form of motivation. Realizing that the world does not always go your way motivates us to work harder. And as I embark in my career as a tutor, I always assume that the person I will be teaching does not always have an interest to the subject motivating myself to devise creative ways on how to develop inspiration and motivation from my future clients so that they can also experience the passion I always have towards the subjects I’m teaching. Some people might think that optimism is the key to success however being pessimistic actually teaches us to be humble which can also take you to places.
