Peanut Butter Blossoms 1/2 cup of shortening 3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter 1/3 cup of sugar 1/3 cup of light brown sugar 1 large egg 2 tablespoons of milk 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 1/2 cup of flour 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt Additional sugar 1 bag of Hershey kisses-foil removed Beat shortening with sugars then add egg, peanut butter, milk and vanilla. Mix all dry ingredients then add to the peanut butter mix a spoon at a time till blended. Shape dough into balls and roll in additional sugar, and place on parchment lined cookie sheet. I rolled them in sugar a second time after I finished the first set. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned, remove from oven and immediately place a Hershey kiss into the center of each cookie. Be careful not to press to hard so cookies don’t crack all the way through. Cool on wire rack.
