Why Mobile Phones Must Be Banned in High Schools
We are witnessing an extraordinary world shaped by technology and science. For instance,
one technological device has been improved for long years and it is called as mobile phone.
Nowadays, nearly every single boy or girl have that miniature computer inside their pockets.
Therefore, mobile phones hold a significant part in their daily lives including school classes. I
strongly support the idea that use of the mobile phones must be forbidden in high schools
because teenagers become too addicted to them, they do not give enough attention to their
teachers and the relationship between them loses its chance to be formed.
The first and the most striking reason is that students become highly dependent on mobile
phones. To begin with, the students keep looking for new notifications when they are allowed
to use their phones during the classes so that this attitude becomes an addiction in long term.
Therefore, an urge occurs inside their minds to take a look for their devices in order to find
out what is going on outer world, which makes them literally dependent on these
technological breakthroughs.
The other reason why mobile phones must be banned is that the students’ attention to
their teachers may be interrupted at the any time of lesson due to the phones. To give a
sample, while a subject is being taught, everyone should be listening carefully to get the point.
However, if there is a distracting situation like mobile devices, the students’ not only one eye
but also one ear do not fully pay attention to the lesson. Consequently, the subject might be
misunderstood, which is far worse than if it was never taught.
The final reason for getting banned the mobile phones from use in high schools is that the
communication between students becomes more and more terrible. To expand this idea, they
do not even talk to their desk mate during the breaks. Because, there is a more attracting
thing and it is well-known as social media which is reachable by phones. Moreover, a virtual
world is available inside these devices and it bewitches all of them and also stops them being
very closed with their friends. As a result, the relationship has no chance to be formed further.
In a nutshell, the world has been evolving by developments like tech, so do lives and even
education. Mobile phones are one of the most affecting invents of today’s world. In my way
of thinking, they should be used through some strict rules especially in high schools. These
rules are a must to prevent teens to become antisocial and as well as unaware.
