Writer’s Craft: Introducing Yourself as a Writer

Well thought out, not rushed, meaningful.
2. Some of the best writing I have come across is….
Polo G music. Although the language is poor, the message is so strong and moving.
3. Why did you choose this to take this course?
Because I have always loved writing but never properly learned how to.
4. What kinds of writing and reading do you most enjoy?
I like fiction writing and listening to song lyrics.
5. How do you usually decide what you’ll write about? Where do you get ideas?
From events that are currently happening in my life, but change them slightly to the way in
which I wish life would happen.
6. Do you ever write on your own? (i.e. not for an assignment) How often? Why?
Yes, not too often and I find it is able to clear my mind and take my emotions and anger out
of my head and focus on paper.
7. What kinds of responses (feedback) help you most as a writer?
Constructive criticism is important so I can learn how to improve my writing.
8. What distracts you from doing your best work?
My phone!
9 . To you, what is most difficult about writing? How do you deal with these difficulties?
Communicating my emotions into words.
10. How do you feel about what you write? What are your strengths, weaknesses and/or
goals?
I have never shared my work with any one so that would definitely be a struggle.

I am pretty easy going, I love working independently.
