of this document is to describe a simple, but at the same time, comprehensive systematic list of activities that need to be performed in order to set up the Brazilian Localization basics in a new system. Steps below are compatible with S/4HANA and it complements the S/4HANA Configuration Guide. This document does support the deployment of Brazilian Localization, but does not exempt the relevance for using regular sources of information such as product-specific documentation, SAP Help and configuration guides, neither overrules the need to define customer-specific functional configuration assets as part of a project implementation exercise. 2 Restrictions and relations to accelerators Currently, some accelerators are already available or being developed which can support the deployment of Brazilian localization for S/4HANA OP: 1) SAP Best Practices package for S/4HANA – an evolution from the former "baseline", this package delivers a model company using the Solution Builder framework, through a set of building blocks structured for selected business processes. With this package, a template enterprise structure and selectable related configuration sets can be activated through scripts, offering accelerated start-up for implementation projects. The package also brings extensive business process documentation as well as test scripts. The activation of SAP BP is comprised of two steps: 1) download and import the BP software package, 2) choose solution scope and start script execution. For more information, refer to http://service.sap.com/s4op -> SAP Best Practices for SAP S/4HANA, on premise edition. 2) SAP Fast Track Appliance for S/4HANA - the FT appliance is similar to the Best Practice package, with the difference that it is activated as part of the S/4HANA installation. Although the solution coverage is less comprehensive than the Best Practice package, this option allows an even faster project start, delivering at the end of the installation phase a solution with a robust set of business processes. The installation of the FT appliance is comprised of two steps: 1) obtain FT media 2) install S/4HANA with FT appliance. For more information on the solution coverage, refer to https://jam4.sapjam.com/groups/about_page/sfiWTKccOW8u3JF1dQ4ZRN . For information on how to obtain the FT software appliance, refer to SAP Note 2202234 https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002202234 . Consider that the FT for Brazil is currently only available for S/4HANA On-Premise 1511 FPS01. For more information, refer to SAP Note 2317122. 3) SAP Best Practices baseline package for SAP ECC, followed by a migration to S/4HANA – this approach is equivalent to the option 1, with the difference that the package contents are designed for SAP ECC. Therefore, the baseline script must first be run on top of an ECC 6.0x system and then, afterwards, the entire solution should be migrated to S/4HANA. Different from option 2, specific scope items can be selected © SAP 2018 Page 6 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization for the package deployment in the ECC step, however, once the solution is migrated to S/4HANA, the package can no longer be reused (e.g., for provisioning a new client). For more information, refer to http://help.sap.com/saap/sap_bp/baio_frame/BL_ERP607_EN_BR.html Summary: Deployment approach Deployment speed Scope selection Reusability Solution Builder +++ Yes Unrestricted S/4HANA 1511 OP FPS01 Packed appliance +++++ No New installation required Released Solution Builder SAP ECC 6.0x & + Yes New installation required Accelerator Availability Best Practices for S/4HANA Planned Fast Track for S/4HANA Released Best Practices for ECC, upgrade to S/4HANA S/4HANA 1709 OP Upgrade This guide does not substitute or invalidates the usage of SAP Best Practices packages or Fast Track Appliance installations with the Brazil country version. While the Best Practices packages and Fast Track installations deliver pre-modelled solutions, this guide offers a sequence of ordered activities that allow both the extensibility and refinement of these solutions content. In some cases, also, the deployment of Best Practices or Fast Track is not possible - e.g., when a new client cannot be created in the system or if a solution model with underlying enterprise structure is already deployed. In those cases, the activation of Brazilian localization can be achieved by following the steps in this guide, completely or partially. Furthermore, the guide can also support the revision of pre-existing or recently performed Brazilian Localization configuration activities. The core objects that need to be setup for the minimum operation of the solution are listed here. 3 Prerequisites Create a new client It is highly recommended that you create a new client XXX as a copy from ‘000’. This facilitates Localization installation as client ‘000’ contains standard-delivered customizing entries, which through client copy will be available in the new system. SAP delivers various tables entries in client ‘000’. Therefore, if it is not possible to do the suggested client copy, a client compare (transaction SCU0) may be done to adjust the localization client with standard delivered data. More information about client compare tool can be found in SAP Notes 91096 e 85087. Important: for creating the new client, use the full copy profile in transaction SCCL, otherwise some table entries may not be copied, which can lead to missing data for later execution of CATTs. Before moving to the next phases, make sure that the content from the new client for the tables is equal to Client ‘000’. This will allow the BC-SETs and CATTs scripts to be executed without © SAP 2018 Page 7 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization errors. Notice that the list of tables below is not final and other table entries may be required on demand, depending on the implementation activities that are performed. In order to check and complement missing entries, use the tool mentioned before (SCU0). A screen similar to the following one will list the differences between the clients: If eventually a complement of missing info is needed, refer to item 4.2.2 of this Configuration Guide where a tool is provided for massive data transfer from Client ‘000’. This should be used in case a full copy of client ‘000’ is not possible – e.g., because the new client was created as a “best practice” client or because the implementation will be done on a pre-existing client which is not a full copy of ‘000’. Create a main Company Code The new Company Code may be a copy from a pre-existing model, if any is existing. For example, if any enterprise structure (from any country) already exists, instead of creating from scratch, you may copy the entity and its dependencies to jump start. If there is no pre-existing enterprise structure, an alternative, which can be handled with extra care, is the generation of a new country version, which will basically generate a sample enterprise structure. The country version tool (transaction O035) offers the possibility of creating a model template for any country. The O035 lead to the setup of new organizational units, but does NOT ‘install’ a country version at all. Notice that O035 will always use the same namespace in every run, which means that it will always overwrite whichever entities are existing in that namespace. The country version has been mainly designed for new installations and NOT for adding a new country to a productive system. Therefore, if it has been run before for country XX, if you run it again, for e.g. for BR, all entries for XX will be overwritten with BR sample data. If you are sure that there is no preexisting enterprise structure model, or that whichever pre-existing model can be overwritten, than transaction O035 can be leveraged. For more information, refer to SAP Notes 63805 and 2131866. In all cases, do take a full backup before move on, and as a rule of thumb, if you are unsure, simply do not use this method. © SAP 2018 Page 8 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization 4 Initial Configuration Enterprise Structure Define Valuation level It is strongly recommended that you use Valuation level = ‘Plant’. With this, the value determination occurs based on plant-based movements, and not only on Company Code movements. This is used by most Brazilian organizations. Define Organizational entities Define the minimum organizational structures: Business Places (one per Plant and exceptionally 1:n plants for special scenarios), Plants, Purchasing Organization, Storage Location, Sales Organization, Distribution Channel, Sales Area, etc The regular organizational structures that are valid for any company template should be set-up as usual. For Brazil, specifically, an additional organizational level exist which is called the “Business Place” (a.k.a. “Branch” or “Filial”). The business place is nested in between the Company Code level and the Plant, and basically reflects the legal nature and the fiscal projection of the assigned Plant. It is based on the essential business place information that the Brazilian-specific invoice (socalled “Nota Fiscal”) will be issued/received. © SAP 2018 Page 9 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization 4.1.2.1 Business Place Concept: To create the Business Place go to the following path: First, you have to inform the Company Code that the Business Place will be assigned. The Business Place has three level of dialogs: Branch – enter the general data of the Business Place: © SAP 2018 Page 10 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization CNPJ Bus. Place: CNPJ is a tax number assigned to legal persons by the federal tax authorities. Each Business Place has a CNPJ number. The sequence of CNPJ Business Place identifies this CNPJ number. State Tax No.: A tax number issued by the State tax authorities. The State tax number, known as Inscrição Estadual in Brazil, must be included on all Electronic Invoice (NF-e) issued by companies whose operations are subject to ICMS tax. Munic. BP CFOP Cat.: Specifies the CFOP category and it is used to determine the CFOP number for outgoing nota fiscal. Suframa Code: This number is an identification of companies that operate in Manaus Trade Free Zone. The companies get this number through a process to make them eligible for tax incentives, benefits and auditing sections with the government. CNAE: It means the Economic Activity National Classification (Código Nacional de Atividade Econômica) and it is a classification of companies accordingly to their economic activities (their business type). Legal Nature: Is a classification of companies accordingly to their legal activities (their business type). CRT Number: The Tax Regimen Code (Código de Regime Tributário) can be classified depending on the company and its tributary situation. ICMS Taxpayer: The Brazilian government charges ICMS tax differently according to the type of taxpayer. Companies are classified as ICMS Taxpayer and ICMS Non-Taxpayer. Industry Main Type: Is a classification of the Business Place regarding to its Industry main activity. Tax Declaration Type: Identifies the type of ICMS paid by the company to the Brazilian government. Company Size: Identifies the company's size according to the number of employees and the annual sales revenue. © SAP 2018 Page 11 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization NIRE ID: It is the number given to a company upon registering its Organizational Documents with the Registry of Commerce. NIRE Date: Identifies the Company Register Identification issuing date. SPED Activity Ind.: Identifies if the Business Place is a manufacturing place or other activity. NF Price DecPL: Specifies the number of decimal places that the price has to be rounded. Decl. Reg. PIS/COFI: The field is used to classify the Declaration Regimen for PIS/COFINS according to the following values, as Cumulative Regimen or Non-Cumulative Regimen. Single Page: The flag specifies that, during printing, only one page is permitted for each Electronic Invoice (Nota Fiscal) number. IPI Contributor: Identifies the Business Place as an IPI tax contributor. It is also used to identify if the IPI value should be included in PIS/COFINS taxes base for resale. Dangerous Goods: It refers to Electronic Invoice (Nota Fiscal) text. Indicates from where the system takes the dangerous goods data to create the corresponding text. Besides serving for tax declaration purposes, some of these fields also extend tax determination possibilities. Some of them can be added and supplied to KOMK/KOMP structure for pricing rules, as well as dynamic tax calculation groups (further referred to in section 4.4.5 © SAP 2018 Page 12 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization As it can be seen, CNAE, Legal Nature, CRT, ICMS Taxpayer, TDT, Comsize, Industry Type and PIS/COFINS Regimen may also influence tax determination. Further information on how to supply them is explained through the document in subsequent sections. Continuing with the Business Place set up, the next action is to adjust the address data, which should match the assigned plant information, particularly with regards to the region key (required for later tax calculation). Click on Address to enter the address details: Regional Tax Codes – Enter the Tax Region (State) and the State Tax Registration number for Tax Substitute. In case the Business Place has an inscription as Tax Substitute in a different State of its location in Brazil, it must to be shown in the Electronic Fiscal Document (NF-e). Define Company Code Global Parameters This activity will create the financial account data for the Company Code. This central data will spread across the entire organizational structure appended to the Company Code. Be sure to maintain, inside the Company Code data, at least the following content: • • • The address (at least Country, Region and Jurisdiction Code); CNPJ root (official Federal Company number); Fiscal year variant. Customizing BC Sets Installing a Country Version The following SAP Help document describes most important activities that need to be followed in order to have Brazilian Localization objects and data available in your system: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/c8/149e36d10e057ee10000009b38f889/fr ameset.htm © SAP 2018 Page 17 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Despite this SAP Help was not created for S/4HANA, it is still valid for S/4HANA. So, as to facilitate the SAP Help guidelines, and correlate them with this document, the relevant steps are also explained below. Therefore, you may choose either to use this document or the one from the link above. Both are likely to have the same content in a different presentation fashion. While this one is a help guide, the one from the link is the official SAP Help documentation. Execute Localization CATTs Use transaction SCAT for that. This transaction will use pre-defined function modules to move Brazilian-specific data to system tables. It will make available two sets of data: Localization Movement Types, on MM side, and SD content artefacts. a. P40XXXX_CU_BR (MM Movement Types) See SAP Note 123124 for further information on this CATT. b. P99CUST_SD_BR (SD data) To see the list of updated tables, check function module J_1B_SD_CUSTOMIZER. This module is executed when the CATT is called. During the CATT execution you can face some issues regards to a missing customizing from Client ‘000’ to Customizing Client. If you need to do own customizing where you need customizing tables from Client ‘000’ that are not part of the Best Practice Client, please follow the guidance outlined in note 2272406 to bring them into the Customizing Client (see [HCO1] for customizing comparison): After initial activation, you can adapt and extend your business configuration beyond SAP Best Practices in the classical way using the IMG. • • • • Use the adjustment functionality (in the maintenance UI of the IMG activity - menu path Utilities Adjustment) to select and copy configuration entries from Client ‘000’ that is additionally required for your business configuration into your target client. In case the adjustment functionality does not work on an IMG activity and/or there is a high volume of required configuration data, report "/FTI/JF24" can support you to copy from a specific IMG activity from Client ‘000’ into your target client. In case of error messages regarding missing entries in configuration tables during application tests, please, use report "/FTI/JF01" to list the IMG activities for that particular table and to navigate into the activity. Report "/FTI/JF01" and report "/FTI/JF24" are part of SAP Note 2272406. Execute Localization BC Sets Use transaction SCPR20 to download the BC Sets and activate them. Refer to SAP Note 1706309 that delivers a set of Localization BC Sets. Besides to execute the BC Sets you must perform all the steps described in the PDF document delivered into the referenced note. © SAP 2018 Page 18 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization General Application Functions Define Number Range for internal Nota Fiscal document number Internal document number refers to field J_1BNFDOC-DOCNUM. This is not the external document number, that is, the official Nota Fiscal number. This one will be explained next. Important: For DOCNUM, only intervals ‘01’ is used in case of normal NF. Other intervals may be used for ‘Nota Fiscal Eletrônica’ (except ‘01’). Define Nota Fiscal Types In this Customizing activity, you create Nota Fiscal types for Nota Fiscal document processing. The Nota Fiscal types distinguish the business situation and control the filling of the documents. © SAP 2018 Page 19 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Define Nota Fiscal Item Types The system uses the nota fiscal item type primarily for some dependencies: • • • • CFOP determination; Posting of taxes; Definition of relationship between Notas Fiscais; Legal reporting. Standard default Nota Fiscal item types are delivered by following the steps indicated at section 4.3.9-a. © SAP 2018 Page 20 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Fiscal Classification Data 4.3.4.1 Define CNAE CNAE means the Economic Activity National Classification (Código Nacional de Atividade Econômica) and it is a classification of companies accordingly to their economic activities (their business type). Define Service Types © SAP 2018 Page 27 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization In these following IMG activities, you make settings related to service types. They are only relevant if you need to process the Brazilian service tax, ISS - including calculation of ISS, printing of related Notas Fiscais, and statutory reporting of ISS. For a combination of country and jurisdiction code, enter the official service type and the ABRASF code (required for combined Notas Fiscais). Configure CFOP Codes 4.3.9.1 Initial CFOP configuration The concerned maintenance tables are located in the below section of IMG: They can also be found in transaction J1BTAX: To implement CFOP, you should follow SAP Note 571848. Basically, the following activities have to be performed along this note implementation: a. Execute report J_1BFILLRECTYPES This report, which will create default entries in table J_1BNFITMRULEV, is used for CFOP automatic determination and tax presentation in the Nota Fiscal. It will generate the Nota Fiscal default item types. b. Execute report J_1BCFOP_MIGRATE This report will create default entries in the CFOP tables. Important: Be sure to have file CFOP_2003.txt downloaded into your computer drive before © SAP 2018 Page 28 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization running J_1BCFOP_MIGRATE. This document is available as an attachment to SAP Note 571848. 4.3.9.2 CFOP transport between systems/clients: The CFOP determination table views (J_1BAONV and J_1BAPNV) are, by default, delivered as “non-transportable”. This happens because it is assumed that actual CFOP determination rules should be maintained only in production and it would not be required to maintain them in the usual DEV>QA->PRD approach. Therefore, there are 2 possible approaches: either run the steps from section 4.3.9.1 in each system/client or perform the steps below in order to allow CFOP determination table transportation. 1. Open client for repository changes. Transaction SCC4: 2. Remove “current settings” flag from the J_1BAONV and J_1BAPNV objects in SOBJ. This will allow the object to generate transportation requests. Note: this flag must be set in Production for these tables. 3. Enable request generation via transaction SE54 © SAP 2018 Page 29 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization After the above steps, transport of CFOP determination tables across systems/clients should be possible. Define Nota Fiscal Output data © SAP 2018 Page 30 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Forms: System delivers two standard forms: NF01 (outgoing) and NF02 (incoming). You may refine the NF printout by defining more forms. These forms must be assigned to the Nota Fiscal Types, which will trigger printout. Number Groups: System delivers standard group 0101UN. These groups are sub-objects of the main NF external number range. You may as well define more groups to refine NF external numbering. Define Printing Parameter Assignment Nota Fiscal numbering is based on the combination of the involved Company Code, Branch and Output Form. In this activity, you should define the output settings for each of the possible combinations. Two activities must be maintained to allow NF printout: Assign Numbering and Printing Parameters: here you specify the number group, range, series and subseries, as well as the desired printer to be used. Condition Records: here you must create condition records for the output types linked to the NF form. It´s recommended to create these records based on ‘Condition Tables for Output Nota Fiscal’ to match the definitions from the previous activity. Hint: For an enhanced NF printing, read also SAP Note 743361. Define External Number Range for External Nota Fiscal number In this activity, you specify one or several number ranges that will be used to generate the external official Nota Fiscal number. Here you will define the leading NF number, that is, the first nine positions. You define the nine digits based on the number groups. © SAP 2018 Page 31 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Define Nota Fiscal Document Maintenance In this Customizing activity, you define the screen controls for fields in the header and item level that the system will display during the maintenance of NF documents. Screen controls determine which fields are displayed on the screens and if they can be opened for editing or only for displaying. They also determine if an entry in a field is optional or mandatory. Assign Nota Fiscal Type to Sales Document Type In this IMG activity, you define which Nota Fiscal is used for each Sales Document type. Tax Calculation Set-up The following activities are found under the ‘Basic Settings’ sub-list, found at the IMG path indicated below and they complement the steps required in the SAP Note 1706309 implementation. Further details on how to set-up the Brazilian tax calculation are described in section 4.4.5. © SAP 2018 Page 32 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Hint: Some activities can also be found in transaction J1BTAX. Assign Company Code to Document Date for Tax Determination Tax calculation in Brazil is based on the tax rates and bases retrieved from the Brazilian tax tables, which among key fields, has a validity date for the condition records. By default, system will use the ‘Posting Date’ of the document to search for valid tax rates. However, in case you want to use the ‘Document Date’ (i.e., date of the document creation), you must choose that option under the IMG path: Define Specifier Code of ‘Substituição Tributária’ ICMS ST legal Classification Code was introduced according to ICMS Agreement 92/2015 (Convênio ICMS 92/2015). It defines the code and description for CEST according to the table available in CONFAZ website, under http://www.confaz.fazenda.gov.br/. Refer to SAP Notes 2232775 – EC87-2015 – ICMS ST Legal Classification Code and 2241138 – ICMS ST Legal Classification Code Mapping. Assign Specifier Code of ‘Substituição Tributária’ In this Customizing activity, you are able to determine the CEST, according to the material or Common Nomenclature of Mercosul code (NCM - Nomenclatura Comum do Mercosul). © SAP 2018 Page 33 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization You use this view to customize your entries and once you have done this procedure, the system fills the information for CEST field automatically during the nota fiscal issuing, into the view J_1BTCESTDET. As the CEST field is not editable into the nota fiscal, this is a mandatory activity. Refer to SAP Notes 2232775 – EC87-2015 – ICMS ST Legal Classification Code and 2241138 – ICMS ST Legal Classification Code Mapping. Legal Classification Codes for IPI In this IMG activity, you are able to insert, edit or delete codes regarding IPI legal classification according to SEFAZ Technical Note 2015/002 – Appendix XIV. To fill the ‘cEnq’ In (income) and ‘cEnq’ Out (outcome) into nota fiscal fields, you have to assign the code to the IPI Tax Laws and the system executes automatically the legal classification code for IPI. Refer to SAP Note 2209624 – Technical Note 2015/002 – ICMS Exemption Reason and IPI Legal Classification Codes. CBT - Specific Settings This section is required only for CBT (TAXBRA). In order to cope with requirements to allow Condition-Based Tax Calculation (CBT TAXBRA), you must, additionally, to the above activities, perform also the ones specified in SAP Note 664855 attachment (Docu_CBT_302.doc), hereon referred to simply as ‘CBT document’. This note contains the functionality and solution architecture documentation, which is also complemented by SAP Note 1706309, where the BC-Sets for CBT activation are delivered together with additional documentation. Taking into account that this is a very extensive SAP Note, the most important requirements are summarized below, with the respective CBT Document sections. This seeks to ease the CBT implementation. Important: Nevertheless, keep in mind that this document does not substitute SAP Notes 664855 and 1706309 any way. You still must refer to that documentation as a formal and official reference. Below follows a list of activities for CBT. © SAP 2018 Page 34 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization • Activate Condition Generation • Specify Calculation Procedures for Condition-Based Tax Calculation • Create default condition records for conditions BIC6 and BCI1 o • Access transaction FV11 and create +100% records for Condition Types BIC6 and BCI1. Create default tax rates in J_1BTXDEF o These table entries are used as a reference for some condition records generation. Therefore, you must have default rates for ISS, ICMS and IPI predefined. • Create Dynamic Tax Groups • Create Tax Exception Tables • CBT Consistency Check o • Having performed all the above steps for CBT, you may check for the customizing consistency using standard report J_1B_CBT_CONSIST. Please find richer information on how to use this report in SAP Note 686780. Additional SAP Notes required for CBT: o After concluding the customizing, install the following SAP Notes (including its customizing): o SAP Note 748252 o SAP Note 770860 o SAP Note 1061205 Create manual condition records for Taxes in SD Some SD condition records must have manual records created. How to do that is explained in the following SAP Help thread: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/5b/25e53759ed340be10000009b38f8cf/fr ameset.htm As mentioned in the Simplification List, TAXBRA is the recommended Pricing Procedure. Please, check the Help: http://help.sap.com/s4hana -> choose version -> Simplification List © SAP 2018 Page 35 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Important: You will not be able to generate these condition records until you create tax codes in the system. Instructions for setting up Tax Code in the TAXBRA price procedure: Due to the complexity of tax calculation in Brazil, the standard tax functionality based on tax rates customized in the transaction FTXP was never used. Instead, the classic way of calculating Brazilian taxes made use of the external tax interface. The tax calculation was executed by a dedicated function module rather than by direct processing of the tax calculation procedure assigned to the country. The tax code served to indicate which taxes are due, activating specific lines in the calculation procedure by setting the respective rate to 100%. Lines (taxes) which shall not be taken into account for the respective tax code must be deactivated (not only set to be 0%). The Tax Codes related to SD and MM are configured via J1BTAX transaction in the following path: J1BTAX COUNTRY: BR Maintain SD/ or MM Tax Codes. Due to that, access transaction OBCL and assign specific tax codes to Incoming/Outgoing non-taxable transactions in the defined Company Code. Interstate Consumption Operations for ICMS nontaxpayer – ICMS Partition The calculation of ICMS in interstate operations suffered a legal change due as of January 1st 2016. It was introduced in ICMS Agreement 93/2015 (Convênio ICMS 93/2015) and Constitutional Amendment 87/15 (Emenda Constitucional 87/2015) and it is only relevant with end consumers, which are not ICMS taxpayers. The partition of ICMS tax due to difference between intrastate (state of destination) and interstate operations will be shared between the state of origin and the state of destination, according to an annual percentage defined by the Government. For information about the legal change, check SAP Note 2236380 - LC - Emenda Constitucional 87/2015. The solution is delivered mainly thru the SAP Notes 2232757, 2242395, 2251879 and its related notes. They require Pre and Post-Implementation Manual Steps application. Check out the SAP KBA 2259931 - FAQ of Brazil's EC87 and NT003 solutions for a full explanation of scenarios. ICMS Partition Exemption ICMS Partition exemption can be customized through two procedures when the ICMS Interstate is also exempted: 1. Selecting the checkbox ICMS-exempt in SD Tax Code. © SAP 2018 Page 42 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization 2. Selecting the checkbox ICMS Part exemption on ICMS table. If interstate ICMS is exempt, but ICMS Partition and FCP still need to be calculated, you must use an appropriate SD tax code and the system will perform the calculation normally, even if the checkbox is not selected. Special Fund Rate (FCP – Fundo de Combate à Pobreza) Fundo de Combate e Erradicação à Pobreza (FCP) is a tax percentage collected by the Brazilian government in order to provide better life conditions to disadvantaged people, such as: nutrition, housing, health, education, and other projects of social assistance. To activate it refer to the steps below. Material Ledger Configuration © SAP 2018 Page 53 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization 4.21.1.1 Activate Valuation Areas for Material Ledger 4.21.1.2 Assign Currency Types to Material Ledger Type 4.21.1.3 Assign Material Ledger Types to Valuation Area 4.21.1.4 Configure Dynamic Price Changes 4.21.1.5 Define Movement Type Groups of Material Ledger 4.21.1.6 Assign Movement Type Groups of Material Ledger. 4.21.1.7 Activate Actual Costing © SAP 2018 Page 54 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization 4.21.1.8 Activate Actual Cost Component Split 4.21.1.9 Define productive start Account Determination in Material Ledger The account determination for Material Ledger postings is made using Materials Management (MM) account determination (OBYC). It’s important understand that there is a link between Material Ledger and cost component structure (OKTZ) in product costing planning configuration – that is used to update standard cost. 4.21.2.1 Revenue/Expense from Revaluation (UMB) The Material Ledger closing entries (CKMLCP) will use transaction key UMB, and is used when a material price is changed and/or revaluated. 4.21.2.2 Price Differences for Material Ledger (PRY) The system uses transaction key PRY during the Material Ledger closing entry, as well as during the roll-up of single-level price differences. Material Ledger does not use the PRD transaction key configuration to transfer the price variance from an input material to an output material. Instead, the system uses the PRY assigned account. 4.21.2.3 Price Differences from Lower Levels (PRV) The transaction key PRV is used by Material Ledger closing entries for the multilevel price variances. Example: If the Material Ledger posts a roll-up of a price difference that was received from a lower level (multilevel price differences), it uses the PRV account determination to find the account to which the difference should be posted. In this case, the PRV account is used to credit/debit the input material and debit/credit the output material. © SAP 2018 Page 55 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization 4.21.2.4 Exchange Rate Differences from Lower Level (KDV) The KDV transaction key works for the exchange rate differences in the same way the PRV transaction key works for the price differences. In this manner, the Material Ledger is capable of keeping the roll-up of price differences and the roll-up of exchange rate differences in different accounts. 4.21.2.5 Stock Posting (BSX) The BSX transaction key is used for all postings to inventory accounts. If the choose will to reevaluate the inventory based on actual cost, then the account that is configured in this transaction key will receive all of the variances that come from the single differences and multilevel differences. Therefore, this transaction key has the offset account for PRY, PRV, KDM, and KDV transaction keys for inventory revaluation in the Material Ledger. 4.21.2.6 Cost Center Crediting from Activities (GBB-AUI) The GBB-AUI transaction key is used during the Material Ledger closing entries to credit the cost centers with the delta value between the Price plan activity type and the actual activity type price. This transaction key is used to offset transaction key PRV, which receives the variances as a lower-level price variance. In other words, for absorption of activity type variance, the PRV transaction key dictates the account in which the Material Ledger will receive the variance, and the GBB-AUI transaction key dictates the account used to credit the variance in the cost centers that performed the activity type. GBB-AUI is also used by the WIP revaluation function. For WIP revaluation, the delta between plan and actual activity type price is also credited to the cost centers that performed the activities using the account assigned to GBB/AUI and offset by the transaction key WPA. Exchange Rate Differences It is necessary to define how SAP in Manaus will capture exchange rate differences in the Material Ledger. The exchange rate differences occur during invoice verification when the invoice value is calculated for all Material Ledger currencies, using the exchange rate that is valid at that moment. To configure how you want the system to treat the exchange rate differences, follow the IMG menu: Material ledger will reevaluate the consumption and AVR is necessary to provide reevaluation in more than one ledger. © SAP 2018 Page 56 of 64 Public S/4HANA Brazilian Localization Accounts Payable Invoice Process In Brazilian payment methods, the payment value is handled through credit transfer. Besides the standard inter-bank wired credit transfer method “DOC”, also a method with real-time credit transfer, called TED, is used. Almost 15% of the total amount of payments are handled via checks, which are still widely used. The processes which are supported and generate Brazilian-specific payment information are listed below: • • • • Document update after ‘boleto’ receipt; Document update with barcode; Discount and interest calculation; Invoice cancellation. Payment Formats: Brazilian Localization works with the following bank layouts: • • • • Febraban (CNAB240 – Segments A/B/J); Itaú (Sispag); Bradesco (PagFor); Cheques (generic).
