Periodically Science Classifying Matter Digital Interactive Notebook Classifying Matter Digital Interactive Notebook Some notes for the teacher: Suggestions: Use this Digital interactive notebook with your students much like you would a paper-based interactive notebook. It is designed for you to complete the right side page with your students with discussion. Then, students work on the left side page independently. Resources Notes: 1. Although it is noted on directions on each page, be sure to remind students to “exit present mode” when needing to do “drag and drop” activities or to add text, otherwise they will not be able to. 2. Slide 3, Monday, contains a Jamboard. The icon has a link to “make a copy”. Do this first before assigning to your students. Then, hyperlink the board with your new link. To use this with your students, you will give them the link to the Jamboard and they can all collaborate on the same board. This would be great to do using Google Meet or Zoom for discussion. 3. Slide 5, uses Flipgrid. The logo takes students to the Flipgrid homepage. You will need to create a topic from the information on slide 5 for students to be able to respond. Then hyperlink to the logo on slide 5. Also the right side page activity requires Flash so be sure to complete with students if their device does not permit. 4. Slide 6, Tuesday is a Peardeck Flashcard Factory activity. The icon has been linked for students to join your deck. Use this link to access the vocabulary deck to assign. You can have students do this synchronously/asynchronously. If you have never played with your students, Click here for directions on use. 5. Slide 8, the Quizizz icon is hyperlinked for students to join the Quizizz game once given the code. Use this link to access the Quizizz and assign either live or as a challenge for asynchronous application. Follow the steps below: 1. 2. You must have internet access and a free google account. When you download the attached file, click the google link you will be prompted to “make a copy” of the document. 3. You will then be able to rename the google slides Digital Interactive Notebook to save it to your google drive. To share it with your students, you can access the sharable link option in the upper right hand corner of the document, or post it as an assignment in google classroom. If sharing as a link, click this button to get sharable link. 4. 5. 6. If posting to google classroom, in the assignment be sure to add as “students can view file” so your master is not edited.
