„a game, competition, or activity needing physical effort and skill that is played or done according to rules, for enjoyment and/or as a job” – Cambridge Dictionary Every day I practice sports such as e-sport, basketball, football, volleyball, callisthenics and running. The reason I play them, they are great for my mental and physical health, I can hang out with my friends, and it’s satisfying, it feels good to play sports it brings out such emotions like excitement, you can’t describe it with words, it’s fantastic! However, if we talk about exercising and not a competitive sport for a price, for example, I do strengthening workouts 2-3 times a week and stretching every single day. I prefer doing sports outdoors for fresh air and sunshine for instance, not surprisingly in the summer near lake Balaton, in view of the fact that we can do surfing, sailing, water skis, swimming, volleyball, beach football or beach handball. In the other hand in winter usually on mountains or near frozen lakes we can go skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snowmobiling. I prefer summer sports but my most extreme sport was skiing, which is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, and everyone should try it out! The feeling of speed and freedom is amazing. There are other extreme sports like: Saut de base, BMX, Saut à l'élastique, Plongée, Parachutisme, Faire de la planche à roulettes, cerf-volant, Paintball, ou Parkour… but if I do my favourite sport I have to stay inside… let’s hope we can practice e-sport outdoors in the future which only needs a chair or sofa, a computer/console/smartphone and internet connection. Back to extreme sports: Skydiving and Parkour are definitely on my list for multiple reasons: gains the ability to stay calm and focused, enhance your fear management skills, work different muscles, gain a sense of humility, boost your self-confidence, and needless to say it offers social interactions, those are true for almost all sports, even for the one that are not considered as a sport like chess, which I think is absolutely a sport! It has every criterion, it’s a game that has rules, competitive, it requires skill and can be played for enjoyment or as a job, and it’s an individual sport which I like on the strenght of clearing your head and resting while team sports are for entertainment and socializing just like in school. What we do in class are volleyball, basketball, and athletics. I would change it by adding more variety and the opportunity for the students to choose freely. For instance, cardio exercise like running is great for one person, but the other almost dies from exhaustion because there is no difference, everyone does the same activity, and we should also include analyzing famous sport events or just simply wacthing them for fun like me, mostly football on Tuesday and Wednesday. On the weekends I watch a variety of sports. I follow the Champions League and some major football leagues like Ligue 1, Premier League, LaLiga. I’m not a fan of the regular Olympics, but I still support our nation’s hard-working players. Supporting a team is astonishing. My whole family is a Real Madrid supporter since 2002, and I joined them in 2016. One of my dreams is to watch a match in Madrid at the Bernabeu stadium live, I want to feel the sensation and the excitement of the thousands of people.
