Introduction 01 Give your opinion in the topic sentence “The introduction”. End it with thesis statement “Names the pieces of evidence will be mentioned”. 02 Body Set your argument in separate paragraphs based on the thesis statement. 03 Conclusion Finish your work with a strong conclusion. Make sure you repeat what your point of view is. Think about your audience 01 Writing to a friend of yours will not be like writing to the minister of Agriculture for example. 02 Use “Present Simple” Tense. 03 Personal Pronouns Using words like “we, Your, Us…” makes your audience think you are addressing them in person. 04 Conditional sentences (GW) Try to use a conditional sentence to support your argument. If you start to read about aliens and the evidences found, you will rethink before saying fable. 05 Logical Connectives Like: Firstly, Consequently, Moreover, So, Furthermore, However, because, Finally, Therefore 06 Rhetorical Questions (GW) Do you really think that all these countries allocate such huge budgets for these researches in vain? More Examples How could you (we) possibly….. When are we (you) going to….. What would happen if…… Is it really worth…. Do you want to be part of……. 07 Expressive Language Persuade the reader with emotional language and groups of three adjectives. For example: “Scientists gave us a mountain of evidence proving aliens existence.” 08 Other point of view Show the other point of view and kill it: “Some people say aliens exist only in the movie theatre. However, I believe they didn’t read enough about the recorded facts released by the Pentagon recently.” 09 Facts and Statistics Moreover, researchers announced that they had captured a very mysterious beam of energy in the radio coming from the closest star to our own.
