1. What went well during teaching?
 The planned curriculum was executed well on time.Students came after a
long-time spending summer vacation. Forward and Backward Counting was
done as revision.
 We started the topic counting different objects from surroundings that
could give students an idea of how they are going to incorporate this
mathematical operation in day-to-day activities.
 Students were able to grasp the concept of Ascending and Descending
order effectively because of the sound understanding of numbers to 10.
 Students were able to grasp the concept of ordering numbers within 10
quit easily, since they were familiar with the numbers within 10. They
showed keen interest while solving the questions on board and were very
responsive to each question being asked and very active during the
activities being done. They did the work book pages independently with
little assistance from the teacher which shows their grip and
understanding of the topic.
2. What did not go well?
 Students in the beginning were struggling with the placement of ones and
tens later on they grasped the concept well.
 Few of the students had difficulty in identifying greatest number, they were
comfortable while comparing 2- digits. But found confused while comparing
3 numbers.
3. How to improve the lesson?

activities. As the students of grade 1 are more attracted towards different
colours and toys.
