Galgo Course/Yr/Sec.: BSED-1ST-FIL-C-1 LET’S GET STARTED As a preliminary activity for the topic, answer the following questions in just two sentences: 1. What do you think are the benefits of paintings in our lives? There are so many good things that painting can give us first, it helps our brain to be creative in what we want to paint or what are we going to do to make our art more appealing to the eye second, it helps past our boredom. Painting can also be a very good alternative to those people who suffer depression or stress. 2. How do you determine whether a particular art is an original work of an artist? You can hold the painting up to the light and look at it from the back. If it is a real painting, you should be able to see light coming through the back of the canvas. 3. Does art always have a purpose and a function? If it ceased its function, would it still be considered as art? If it ceased its function, would it stillbe considered as art? Yes. Art is any work created with the main function being for it to be admired, appreciated. If a canvas painting is turned into a footrest, it’s still art or if it’s thrown in the trash, it’s still art. The painting's intention is to use art to highlight the beauty and individuality of each LGBTQ women: a group that I believe has been terribly underrepresented in all forms of art. So, instead of waiting for someone else to validate LGBT women, I took it upon myself to bring the struggles, needs, and beauty of these women to light. The difference between oil and acrylic paint is that acrylic paints are waterbased, and oil paint is made from drying oils with a medium of animal fat, linseed, or synthetic polymer. 2. What is the real goal of perspective in art? Explain. Perspective creates a realistic impression of depth.
