This is a book written by Ashwini Ashokkumar and Illustrated by Roopsha Mandal.
‘The Big Book Why’
It’s an extremely lovely book. This is about a 7-year-old girl called Anvesha. She
lives in a large city of New Delhi with her Amma and Daddy. One day her Dada visits from
far away just to see her. And Dada brings Anvesha a present for her. She didn’t know what
to do with it, so she kept the book in the cupboard under her favorite Blue t – shirt. Soon,
every day, she goes outside with her Dada to see how the world is like. But, when she
goes out, she wonders many questions like, why is ketto (the puppy) sad? Why is the sky
in grey but not in blue colour? Eventually, her Dada advices her to take the present which
he gave and said to write as many questions you can ask. He utters that questions are
more important than answers, writing this will give you great imagination and we’ll know
the world better. Lastly, her Dada had to go back. She was unhappy. But when questions
started blinking into her mind, she noted it down in her Big Book of Why.
Following this, even I started writing down questions in my Big Book of Why. In my
opinion, writing these questions helped me to give some entertainment and by now I’ve
finished nearly 87questions! It’s so amazing! Writing down these are like boosting the
brain to even know more. I’ve had total fun in writing and answering my own questions. I
myself in class ask tremendously silly questions!
