Point the browser to the IT Self-Service Portal (http://[server_ip]:9080 )
Click on “sign-in” and authenticate to self-service portal as administrator ( user
"admin@liferay.com", password "admin" )

Check if “Edit Controls”, at the top of the page, is enabled
•
Point the mouse over the “CMDBUILD GUI FRAMEWORK” label: click on
wrench icon to access the configuration menu

In the Configuration section, modify these fields
◦ API Url
◦ App Root URL
◦ App Config URL
All references to “localhost:8180” must be replaced with the ip address of
CMDBuild Ready2Use Appliance and CMDBuild's port.

Click on “Save” button
•
Refresh the page and you will be able to see the IT Self-Service Portal

Notes: You can access demo data with all users saved on Employee Class of
CMDBuild Ready2Use Test Environment:

Username: email of user

Backup
Backup script: /etc/cron.d/backup

All backup data is available in the component-related directory under /backup.
Older backups are automatically removed (view backup script for details)
ESX compatibility
The installation on a VMWare ESX server requires a conversion using
VMWare Converter.
The tool can be freely downloaded from:

HOW TO
Performing administration tasks
Since CMDBuild's appliance uses Ubuntu, root user is left disabled as default. You can perform
administration tasks as well using the sudo command.
