1. If there is a powered down blade in the front of the system, back it out 1/2 inch.
2. Using a straightened paperclip, press the reset button for 1 second on management module 2.
3. Observe for 5 minutes, power LED should be on, activity LED should come on, error LED off.
4. If the error LED is off on MM2, press the reset button for 1 sec. on MM1 and observe LED status.
5. If both come back with no error LED, reach out to system admin for chassis confirmation.
6. If one is good and another has error LED, replace the error MM with a new unit.
7. Wait (up to 45 minutes) for the new unit to come ready (power LED and activity LED on)
8. If both MM are error after reset, both will need to be replaced and interface configured.
Procedure if both are faulted:
1. Back MM2 out of the system 1/2 inch
2. Replace MM1 with a new board
3. Press and hold the Reset button for 10+ seconds (resets to factory defaults)
4. Set laptop Network settings:
IPv4
IP: 192.168.70.100
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: blank
Default addressing for the MM:
IP: 192.168.70.125 (primary and secondary management module)
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
User ID: USERID (all capital letters)
Password: PASSW0RD (note the number zero, not the letter O, in PASSW0RD)
5. Wait 2 minutes after network cable is connected to the MM port.
6. Open IE or Firefox browser and go to address 192.168.70.125
7. Login using ID and password above.
8. Under MM Control in the navigation pane, click Network Interfaces.
9. Set External Network Interface (eth0): This is the interface for the remote
management and console port.
– Interface: Select Enabled (the default) to use the Ethernet connection.
- IP address
-Subnet Mask
-Gateway
10. Install the MM2 and repeat the address configuration process
11. Contact the Atos System Admin for Management Module access confirmation
