LEARNING CONTINUITY
PLAN
FOR S.Y. 2021-2022
JOEL D. ARROYO, EdD
School Principal I
Don Jose Acevedo Integrated School believes that
education in the new framework is not a finger pointing task, instead
it is a unified action between the government, DepEd, NGOs and the
parents for the learners they serve.
Careful planning and factors analysis should be carefully
made in order to have an effective learning continuity plan.
We educators are not only concern on the education alone
but for the safety of everybody.
Nobody wants COVID 19 but we can’t help but accept the
reality that pandemic situation created a new normal in the era of
education were DJAIS motto is “WE HELP, OBEY, INNOVATE for
us to successfully survive!
DJAIS LCP for SY 2021-2022 are based on :
Survey Analysis based on 325 respondents
LEARNERS
•
80% of the learners have no access to technology such as computers, laptop,
netbook, and tablet.
•
25% of learners are without smartphones.
•
67.34% of learners have no access to internet.
•
70% of learners are not knowledgeable in using MS operations, Platforms, and
don’t know how to use Web Browser.
•
Survey results reveal that 97% are incompetent in using MS Teams, Zoom
and Workplace
Teachers
• Proficiency/capability of teachers to handle Online class where only 7 out
of 16 teachers or 44% are proficient enough with Microsoft apps and
communication platforms.
• 6 out of 16 teachers or 38% are not knowledgeable in using quizmaster,
google meet, flipped classroom, and google classroom who need
mentoring session from proficient teacher.
• 6 out of 16 or 40% are not knowledgeable in using Hangout.
• 80% of pupils don’t have laptops, 75% percent have cellphones but only
27% have internet connections.
Conclusion
So therefore, based on teachers and learners factors mentioned in
the analysis, the most appropriate learning modalities to use in the education
of learners in this pandemic situation is Distance Learning Modality (Modular
it can be a pure modular in the primary while in the intermediate and high
school level, modular offline will have an enhancement activity such as Radio
Based and Television Based Instruction).
Online activities can also be implemented in the middle of the school
depending on the possible response of the parents in providing gadget to
their children.
Face to face classes will soon be implemented if cases of COVID 19
will drop off to zero. Thus, this plan will be possible with the supervision of our
Roxas City Division and our government as well.
