Select and Use of Farm Tools
Farm tools, implements, and equipment play very important role in agricultural crop
production. Their availability makes the work much easier and faster. However,
even if one may have the most sophisticated tools and implements, but does not
know how to use them, they are useless. In order to do crop production operations
successfully, one must have a good working knowledge of the tools, implements and
equipment before using them

Close the Gate (For Dad)
By: Nancy Kraayenhof
For this one farmer the worries are over, lie down and rest your head,
Your time has been and struggles enough put your crowbar, rake and wheelbarrow in
the shed,
Years were not easy, many downright hard, but your faith in God transcended.
Put away your bolo, spade, handfork and axe, then sleep in peace.
You raised a fine family, worked the land well and always followed the Sun.
Hang your shovel and sprinkler inside of the barn: your work here on earth is done.
A faith few possess led your journey through life, often jagged and stony way,
The sun is setting, the cattle are all bledded and here now is the end of your day.
You always believed that the good Lord would provide and he always had somehow,
Take off your gloves and put your favorite hand trowel and cultivator down, no more
sweatand worry for you now.
You labor is done, your home now is heaven; no more must you wait.
Your legacy lives on, your love of the land, and we will close the gate.
