A Movini Sureka (National Identification Number – 199264502746, Passport Number - N9237815) was born on the 24th of May 1992, a citizen of Sri Lanka. I wish to pursue an MSc in International Business and Management at University of Bradford, UK. I have always been passionate about specializing in the business and economics field nature of how the behavioral patterns as well as the factors that influence the above. I believe my achievements and experiences have given me the best opportunity to further study the theoretical and practical aspects of management to pursue this career of my interest. Educational Background ➢ School Education I have completed my education at Yasodara Girls School, Colombo. I completed my GCE Ordinary Level examination in 2008. ➢ University Education I have successfully completed my BSc in Business Management (UGC Recognized) with a first-class qualification awarded by Amazon college, Sri Lanka, affiliated with the University of Tolosa, USA. In the year 2008, upon completion of my GCE O-Levels at, Yasodara Girls School, Colombo. I enrolled at Amazon College, Colombo, Sri Lanka to pursue my Higher Studies in June 2018 and successfully completed it in June 2021 with a first-class honors degree. ➢ English Language Qualification I completed my IELTS (Academic) at British Council Colombo on the 17th of February 2022. My band score was 6.5 and I have achieved 6.0 for Listening, 6.5 for Reading, 6.0 for Writing, and 6.5 for Speaking. Employment Background I was employed in Magic Hands Car Wash and No 264/1A, Godagama Road, Athurugiriya, Sri Lanka from Jan 2009 to September 2012 as an Office Assistant Trainee. Then I got the opportunity to join FedEx Express, Dubai from November 2012 to October 2013. During this time, I have gained a valuable set of skills by working in Customer Financial Services in this organization. At that time, I experienced the flow of the related documents, accessing the documents through the system, and the deduction of payments done by credit/ debit cards. I took on the supervisor position at Magic Hands from Nov 2013 to May 2018. As a recommended employee from my previous employer, I was temporarily appointed as an Assistant Restaurant Manager in GrandLa Restaurant in Athurugiriya to uphold the company. I provided a service of 1 year (June 2018 – July 2019) to the company and was recruited back at Magic Hands Car Wash and Detailing as the Manager Why UK? While studying for my BSc Degree program offered by the University of Tolosa, I gained exposure to the international higher education system and practices. I became fond of the UK higher education system and program structure after completion of my BSc. It is a known fact that the UK is among the top three countries to pursue postgraduate studies and one of the best countries for international students to live while studying. Even popular web magazines and blogs, such as Business Insider, and World First Blog have all verified the above. Another highlighting factor about master’s programs offered in the UK is that it is the best option to save both time and money as the most of the postgraduate programs are full time and with a duration of just one year, while in comparison to other counties like Australia and Canada where postgraduate programs range varies from about 1 Year 6 months to 2 Years.
