SCHOOL-BASED LAC/ INSET/ ICT-BASED LEARNING ENHANCEMENT AND TRAINING RATIONALE In line with the implementation of Republic Act No.10533, or the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed policy on The Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K to 12 Basic Education Program SchoolBased Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning. Through this policy, the DepEd fully supports the continuing professional development of its teaching personnel based on the principle of lifelong learning and DepEd’s commitment to the development of teacher’s potential aimed towards their success in their profession. This can be done through the school-based LAC, which primarily functions as a professional learning community for teachers that will help them improve practice and learner improvement. Objectives: To improve the teaching-learning process that will lead to improve learning among the students To nurture successful teachers To enable teachers to support each other to continuously improve their content and pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and attitudes To foster a professional collaborative spirit among school heads, teachers, and the community as a whole SLAC on the DepEd Order No. 034, s. 2022, Memorandum Order 792 s. 2022, Learning Recovery Plan cum Preparation for the Opening of Classes S.Y. 2022-2023 in these new normal The Datu Saudi Uy Ampatuan MNHS recognizes that the quality of learning is greatly influence by the quality of teaching. Successful teaching is a result of the systematic use of appropriate strategies for delivering and assessing the learning objectives targeted for each lesson. In view of this, DSUAMNHS conducts LAC sessions to serve its purpose. A Learning Action Cell is a group of teachers who engage in collaborative learning sessions to solve shared challenges encountered in the school. LACs become the school-based communities that are positive, caring, and safe spaces. This will also serve to support the teachers for some innovative practices that would enhance their skills and competencies. Teachers will be equipped with the necessary teaching strategies and techniques in developing learner’s knowledge, skills and attitude.
