Hydrostatic strength
For pipes, Hydrostatic Tesing of (1) 80
degC, 5.4MPa, 165h & (2) 80 degC,
5.0MPa, 1000h for pipes up to
OD630mm.
Above OD630 pipes, plain strain grooved
test (PSGT) tests can be accepted for the
pipes.
If fittings
produced from Borouge/Borealis raw
materials (it is mandatory as per BGS-LU017), then the 20C test can be waived.
Remaining tests (1) 80 degC, 5.4MPa,
165h & (2) 80 degC, 5.0MPa, 1000h shall
be done as per the below. With 2
differernt samples of each case.
