Dichotomous key week week 1-2
Create a creature week 1-2
Week 1: Review booklet = create a creature
Lesson 1: (review and worksheet for the first Monday, if time, students
can use the animal samples to create their own dichotomous key)
Lesson 2: create a creature
Lesson 3: collect the creature of the whole class and ask students to
see all the creatures of the class and ask them to classify the new
species and do the dichotomous
Week 2-3: cells ppt --> prepare slides of animals
Revision - 20 minutes - how to use a microscope
Then look at the cell structure
Microscope --> look specialised cells/ any other experiments (not gonna
see a lot of the cells)
--> more like a recap --> probably not take the full two weeks
Pond water under microscope --> small invertebrate type of creatures
Week 4-5: body systems : circulatory, respiratory and digestive
Unit plans and lesson plans
Comparing the respiratory of different animals(frogs/ fish/amphibian
mammals)
Why is the bird respiratory system is more effective than others? And
then compare to other animals --> collect one special animal in mammal
and one special in invertebrate
Mammals, invertebrate...
Probably bring in lungs and hearts --> fish experiment
Keep it simple, and dig deeper and explain in a simple way
