Enrichment Extra Credit Opportunities If you are looking to earn a few extra points or further your knowledge of topics covered in class, then enrichment extra credit opportunities are for you! Each semester you can earn a maximum of 15 points extra credit in the grading category of your choice. If you need assistance with a project, please reach out sooner rather than later as it is unlikely that you will get the help you need the night before the semester ends. Project Menu: Project Description/Requirements Watch the enrichment video posted on schoology and take notes (at least 10 bullet points). Summarize the video in a paragraph (at least 5 sentences), and write a second paragraph (at least 5 sentences) about how the video relates to the content in class. News Article Read the news article posted on the website and annotate the article (must have at least 10 annotations). Summarize the article in a paragraph (at least 5 sentences), and write a second paragraph (also at least 5 sentences) about how the news article relates to content in class. Current Collect and mount a minimum of 5 Scientific current events that relate to in class content, Events Book and bind them in book form. The events may be collected from newspapers or magazines and must pertain to science, technology or medicine. On the first page of the book, a short introduction of the book and its contents will be included. On the second page, include a table of contents. Video In a format that suits you, compile at least 15 minutes of science related videos that are Compilation relevant to the content of the class. These can be from youtube, tiktok, other social media, etc. Along with the compilation, please write at least 2 paragraphs (10 sentence minimum) about how the content of the videos relates to what we are learning in class and how the videos helped you understand class content Music Video Write a song on a topic covered in class. Perform the song and turn it into a music video. It can be to the tune of an existing song or be your own creation! Final product will be well executed, edited, and be overall polished and complete. All information and lyrics must be accurate and informative (there is no changing facts just to make the song rhyme). Must be in full color, labeled, and accurate. The final product should be polished, well executed and clean. Include an “art gallery” description that depicts the artist, art materials used, subject of your design and a two paragraph description of the artwork including how it relates to class (10 sentences minimum).
