CBA’s Webinar Constantly, in every morning encountered, new advances in our lives happen. Each day ends with a new discovery especially when it comes to technology. Experts kept on utilizing their creativeness to come up with things that could ease the struggles of yesterday. Because of these rapid changes brought by skillful creators, I wasn't even able to realize all of these not until I attended today's SciTech4Dev 2021: "A Webinar: The DTI's Innovation Efforts in Business Perspective". Mr. Stephen Kintanar, the webinar's resource speaker, tackled about the new technologies used in businesses, innovations in businesses and DTI's programs in relation to innovations and new technologies in businesses in general. Throughout his significant discussions, I was amazed by all of the new things I grasped. Honestly, I am already aware about the new technologies mentioned during the webinar such as Social Media Marketing, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, E-commerce Platforms, Virtual Meeting Platforms, 5G and Cybersecurity. However, there were new technologies introduced that were unfamiliar to me. Thus, I was surprised after knowing that such advances are already in use in business operations today. I thought that those were still in process of evaluating its effectiveness. In addition, the business world has really advanced as of today and our government agencies are always equipped in adapting the changes that this advancement brings. Such action of the government made me feel satisfied and relieved especially when the resource speaker mentioned the Republic Act 11293 also known as Philippine Innovation Law. Since it is an act that recognizes innovation as a key instrument towards development, I felt relieved knowing that a government's support is also a necessity of business to be able to effectively apply their creative innovations. Also, Mr. Kintanar introduced the programs of DTI which helps all businesses in developing their current standing. I felt really excited especially that there were also programs meant to support young entrepreneurs in their interest in business like the Youth Entrepreneurship Program. It is good to hear that the act was, indeed, put into effective actions until today and that DTI acknowledged the youth's curiosity and willingness on entering the business world. Spending hours of watching and listening to today's webinar was, indeed, worthy. Throughout the event, I was able to focus since the topics were really interesting for me as a student that studies a course related to business. Attending this webinar brought me to bliss because the learnings I gathered in those hours were numerous advantages I could bring in a lifetime.
