Preamble:
The chairman called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM and he conducted the meeting opening prayer. He
welcomed the members to the meeting and explained that the purpose of the meeting was to actualize the
operations of the NGO Council after the long standoff due to COVID – 19.

Min1/30/06/2022 Reading of Previous Minutes
The minutes were read by the secretary and all members agreed that they were true copy of the
same. They were proposed by paul kathenge and seconded by Michael Mwanza..
Min 2/30/06/2022 Matters Arising
There were no matters arising from the previous minutes.
Min 3/30/06/2022 Kitui NGO Council Actualization
For the Kitui County NGO council, the following is the structure which exists and was adopted by the
members.
Rev. Jackson Kilunda – Chairperson
Florence Kilonzi – Secretary
Ruth Samuel – Treasurer
The members proposed tom open a bank account with KCB – Kitui branch and all the above should be
signatories to the account.
Min4/30/06/2022 Peace Building
Members of Kitui county NGO council have expressed the need to participate in the 9th August 2022 general
elections in their constituencies. These constituencies are as follows;

Mwingi Central – Ruth Samuel
Mwingi west – Dinah Wambua
Kitui West – Florence Kilonzo
Kitui Central – Michael Mwanza
Kitui East – Rev. Jackson Kilunda
Kitui Rural – Patrick Nzembei
Kitui South – Paul Kathenge
Members are requesting the National NGO Council to facilitate and ensure that the above are
recruited as election observers in the 9th August general elections in their respective constituencies.
Min 5/30/06/2022 AOB
Members agreed to work with the present Kitui County NGO Council leadership structure and
have requested the Director (Ruth Samuel) to consult with the National council for NGO chairman
to visit our county and come to introduce the county team to the County Commissioner the soonest
possible.
There was no an AOB for discussion and the meeting ended with a word of prayer from Ruth
Samuel at 3.30 pm and the meeting was adjourned.
