IV. PROCEDURES:
A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson:

Show an illustration or a model of an earth.
What can you say about the earth?
C. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson:
Show a videoclip about the earth’s layer.
What can you say about the video?
D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1:
Discuss the following:
Mantle, Outer Core, Inner Core and Crust
E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #2:
What natural occurrences help scientist learn about the layers of the earth?
F. Developing mastery (leads to formative assessment):
Tell something about the different layers of the earth and how they are connected to the
changes of the earth’s surface.
G. Finding practical applications of concepts and skills in daily living:
Activity: Pupil will label the different layers of the earth in the visual aid.
H. Making generalization and abstraction about the lesson:
The earth is made up of layers. These layers are the crust, the mantle, and the outer and inner
core.
I. Evaluating learning:
Make an illustration of an earth’s layer and describe each layer.
J. Additional activities for application / remediation:
