What makes an Intelligent Client in Construction? A corporate buyer that has the knowledge and skills needed to successfully procure complex products, services, or solutions, and achieve specific desired outcomes. • Simon Votano and Riza Yosia Sunindijo recommended six important safety roles for construction clients: Participate in site-based safety program. Review and analyze safety data. Appoint safety team. Select safe contractors. Specify how safety is to be addressed in tenders. Perform regular checks on plant/equipment. Figure: Survey results. (T. Keun Oh, et al. 2021) Contractors: Roles and responsibilities. (CDM 2015) A contractor is anyone who directly employs or engages construction workers or manages construction work.
