you in completing this paper.
Benchmarking – Reading the other submitted discussion papers will increase my understanding and
allows me to improve my own performance in this discussion activity.
Project life cycle – Conceptual phase allows me to understand what is required of this paper, and to
identify the resources required to complete the task. The Planning phase is used to determine when I am
going to Execute (write) the paper. The project is Terminated when the paper is submitted.

If this paper were my project, I would need to understand the scope so I could measure its success. And
this would be done through a Project Charter that would outline the cost, quality and time to produce
this paper. From the charter we would highlight the key tasks that needed to be done and prioritize
them in a work breakdown structure. It is at this point, we can start to estimate how long and how much
this paper will cost. Once these estimations are made, we can create a critical path diagram that tells us
what tasks will be done, and when, allowing us to find the longer/critical path. This is the heart of our
planning. This tells us how we will deliver this paper.
The resources I would need to achieve this project would be People, Machines, Material and possibly
Licenses to print.
