This is the account that you are going to use to access MariaDB, so remember your password. If you are planing to use character such æ,ø,å then check the option to have UTF-8 as the default character set. The remote access for the root account is not required for this course, so this can be left unchecked. • The default settings are as the should be (it is ok if your buffer pool size differs from the shown example of 2013), so click next to continue. • If you want to submit anonymous data to the MariaDB foundation then check the given option.
