Workshop on Global 8D “Problem Solving Technique” 29-30 May 2017: Gurgaon CII-Institute of Quality is pleased to announce its two days training on “Global 8D-Problem Solving Technique” on 29-30 May 2017 in Gurgaon, with Certification of Participation being given at the end of the Workshop. In the early 1990's, Ford Motor Company introduced a standardized set of steps to be followed in solving problems by quality improvement teams within the company. These eight step process of problem solving is known as 8D (Eight disciplines) and is by far the most common disciplines used and accepted by most industries today and is a Powerful Tool. Objectives 8D is a problem-solving methodology for product and process improvement. It is structured into eight disciplines, emphasizing multi disciplinary team (MDT) synergy as teams as a whole, are better and smarter than the quality sum of the individuals. Each discipline is supported by a checklist of assessment questions, such as "what is wrong with what", "what, when, where, how much". Mr Virender has a rich experience of 21+ years in the Automobile Industry, specifically in Quality Assurance, Quality Management System, Supplier Development, New Product Development and Manufacturing. He is a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO9001 and a Six Sigma Black Belt. He has hands on experience of heading Quality Assurance Departments and as has been a Management Representative for Japanese, European and UK based MNCs in India. He has established and implemented world class QMS, EMS and IMS system in multiple automotive companies, many of which have started as Green Field Projects. Mr Virender is also a certified Master Trainer for ZED (Zero Effect Zero Defect) certification scheme implemented by the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India. He has imparted pan-India ZED Assessor training programmes to Certification Body Auditors. A seasoned quality professional with experience in Problem Solving through systematic approach and Continual Improvement through PDCA approach, he has imparted various trainings on Core Tools i.e. APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA and MSA etc. as well as on Internal Auditor Training for QMS (ISO 9001 & IATF 16949) and EMS.
