Support your answer. As teacher I consider the learners to be rational in this philosophy , thinking beings who are capable of seeking and understanding the truth. Teacher highly value self-directed activity, engaging their students in activities and reading materials that encourage reflection on their own nature, as well as promoting a comprehensive understanding of the world at large. In the teaching methods focuses on handling ideas through lecture, discussion, and a method of teaching that uses questioning to help students discover and clarify knowledge. 2. One of the most important schools of philosophy is Pragmatism. It holds that whatever fulfills one’s purposes and develops his life is true. Cite 2 instances in the classroom where the philosophy of pragmatism is being applied. Why? In the classroom setting, teaching methods focus on hands-on problem solving and experimenting. In this philosophy, the learners should apply their knowledge to real life situations through experimental inquiry. This prepares learners for daily living and future careers. Because in pragmatism, the reality is constantly changing that we learn best through applying our experiences and thoughts to problems. 3. Education is not the preparation of a child for his future but it is life itself since life is not possible without education. Discuss the methods of teaching and the role of the teacher in this philosophy. Substantiate your discussion. I believe my role as an elementary teacher is to nurture and encourage the lifelong learning of my students. Through hands-on activities, classroom discussion, and even the use of humor, I hope to prompt students to think creatively and explore their natural curiosity. I want them to feel that no question is too silly to ask. I am strongly committed to regularly assessing students' comfort and engagement in addition to their mastery of material. I believe that regular testing of concepts is important, but students also need to feel like confident, resilient learners. I praise students not just for mastery of material but also for critical thinking, effort, curiosity, and creativity. I lead by example, always working to improve my own skills in these areas as an educator. Creating a welcoming space for learning is so important, especially for the youngest learners. Learning by doing is one of teaching strategy to ensure active involvement of learners in the teaching learning process. So as a teacher, I consider myself to be a stage setter who gives the stage to learners to learn by themselves.
