Scope of Practice Areas of Emphasis: Psychotherapy for Adults: I provide support to individual clients, couples, and adult threesomes such as adult children living with parents or polyamorous households - around a wide range of concerns including the following: 1. Relationship issues 2. Family of Origin Issues 3. Self-esteem issues 4. Grief and Loss issues 5. Life Transitions 6. Stress 7. Cross-cultural Issues Clients of all ethnic backgrounds and sexual identities are welcome in my private practice including heterosexual, bisexual, gay, lesbian, transgender, intersex, and polyamorous clients. Clients who engage in diverse forms of sexual play including so-called "kink" will also receive an affirming, non-judgemental welcome. For about the past twenty years, I have also conducted workshops for educators, students, psychotherapy interns, licensed clinicians, elder care workers, and for professional and non-profit organizations on a variety of topics related to human development, and to increasing cross-cultural understanding and competency. My workshops have focused on such topics as internalized oppression, self-esteem, aging, and working with the elderly. I have also conducted a number of workshops for administrators, teachers, and students who wish to address homophobic, sexist, racist, or other hurtful behaviors within their school communities.
