Safe work practices are generally written
methods that define how tasks are performed
while minimizing risks to people, equipment,
materials, environment, and processes. Safe
Work Procedures are documented procedures
for performing tasks.
What is the purpose of Workplace safety
procedures and instructions?
The purpose of a safe work procedure is to
reduce the risk to health and safety in the
workplace and reduce the likelihood of an
injury through improving employees know how
to work safely when carrying out the tasks
involved in their jobs.
Students listen attentively

Safety and hygiene wereemphasized in your
MAPEH class under health, we are also going
to apply or relate that to our discussion today.

1. Drawing materials can be: Toxic, can cause
physical injury by inhalation, ingestion or by
skin contact. They can be irritating, causing
inflammation of the skin, eyes, mucous
membranes or pain.
2. Do not eat or drink from the work area (to
avoid accidental ingestion).
3. Familiarize yourself with substances that
are dangerous.
4. Hands should be kept clean at all times
during work.
5. Wash your hands thoroughly after working
with baby oil, soap and water,
6. Keep the work area clean and try to keep it
in order.
7. All drawing instruments should be kept
clean with a cloth or towel.
8. Try to always keep the eraser free of ink
and graphite.
9. When using the pencil sharpener, make
sure your hands are clean and free from any
trace of graphite.
10. The ink containers and all working
instruments should be kept at a reasonable
distance from the technical drawing work
being executed.
11. The pencil should always be kept sharp
and should be used properly. It should be kept
away from the drawing sheet and other
instruments.
12. After finalizing your project, clean your
work area, your instruments and always keep
your area flawless.
