Live each day Intentionally
Have you ever wondered if you live life intentionally? Odds are that most of you do. Most of us
meet up on Sundays, some of us even meet up during the week, we try to share the gospel with our
friends, and we are involved in ministries. Now, I will change the question to, do you live each day
intentionally? Well, our lives equals the sum of our days, so in theory, yes? Let’s break this down. Let’s
say that God puts it on your heart to grow closer to him and to live out your faith. Out of obedience and
through prayer, you decide that this would look like reading a chapter of the bible every day, praying for
a few friends throughout the week, and inviting one co-worker a week to church. That sounds like a
solid goal. So the first week goes by, you go to church, you tell your small group about your goal. They
encourage you and say that they will be praying for you. A week goes by God’s grace,
Apartment Story-About a year ago, I had very little energy, strength. I would go to work, go
back to my apartment, muster up the strength to cook a simple meal, and watch Netflix until I would fall
asleep. I was going to church, receiving the messages, I was even part of a small group at the time that I
showed up to at the time, and they would pray for me, that I wouldn’t be so tired. I went on living like
this for months.
One day, I was sitting on my apartment floor wondering wanting to serve for this church function not
having the strength to do so, and I reached over to scratch my arm, and I kid you not I could fit my hand
around my arm. I was in a huge caloric deficit and did not realize it until that moment. So I made a plan
to go to the gym, to start eating more. I was 128 pounds. Pretty soon, I realized that I was scared to go
to the gym, I was scared to go out anywhere. I felt God telling me to write down all of my fears and to
meditate and pray over them giving them over to him. I had 14 fears that I had written down. I was
living in subjection to them.
