IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATE: We will hold a staff meeting on Wednesday, May 5, 2020 at 2:00 to review KPREP administration. More details will follow- but wanted to be sure to get this on your calendar. SUPPLEMENTAL YEAR REQUESTS If parents ask about the retention of students per the legislation passed, please refer them to the information below. There is no need to send out a mass information blast to parents from Middletown-- they are handling that at the district level. If you need any support talking with parents, please let me know. SUPPLEMENTAL YEAR PROGRAM | JCPS families can now request for their students to take part in the Supplemental School Year Program (SSYP). This legislation was signed into law last month and allows families to submit a request to the Jefferson County Board of Education to retake academic courses from this school year in the 2021-2022 school year. Courses taken during the supplemental year must be those the student previously was enrolled in or bear a reasonable connection to previous courses to be supplementary in nature. Families have until May 1st to request a supplemental year and board members will decide by June 1st if all requests are accepted.
