My Academic Goals Essay Assignment
I have a lot of goals when it comes to my academic career that lead in to or follow into my life career
goals . The first thing i would start off with in terms of academic career would be to obtain
all A’s in my classes, from now and until graduation. I would also like to maintain a good relationship
with my all of my professors. In the past, I definitely did not take advantage of doing that, and I know
how much more beneficial it can be to me if I make sure that I have good communication skills with my
professors. I also in my academic career want to form good relationships and connections with my
peers. We are all in this journey together, so why not make connections and make it more of an
enjoyable and personable experience. Something within my academic career goals that is really
important to me, is graduating in an expected “time frame” ie, not going one or two years longer than
expected to graduate. It took me awhile to finally get here so I want to make sure I am efficiently
completing my classes. Of course my number one academic goal would be to just graduate above all
else! I want to reach that accomplishment.
In terms of career goals branching off from that I have quite a few, and still a lot of unknown goals as
of right now, that I have yet to discover. One of my first goals for my career would be to work for the
interior designer my mom works for, maybe with a summer internship or something of the sorts. I just
think it would be fun to get that experience and also to work along side my mom! I would also love to do
some sort of work maybe a collaboration with a big designer like Jonathan Adler. Going more into that
idea, my number one career goal as of right now is to open my own residential interior design firm with
a base in dallas that does upscale celebrity interior design work in both LA and NYC, and just all over the
world! I think it would be super fun to travel and work for other creative people!
