"Dance" is defined as a rhythmic movement of one's body to music and inside a certain location
for the aim of conveying a thought or feeling, releasing energy or simply enjoying the movement itself."
2.
Enumerate the phases of dance.
The phases of dance are Folk Dance, Ethnic Dance, National Dance, Natural Dance, Creative

3.
Explain briefly how the given factors affect folkdance.
Graphical location, Economic condition, Climatic condition and Customs and tradition are just
four of the aspects that can impact the evolution of folk dances. The influence of one or all four creative
variables, though each factor may be more or less active, is usually the cause of change in folk dance.
For Example, in Economic conditions affect folk dances because folk dances most quiet often take place
at events such as county fairs, state fairs, or carnivals. These are events where folk-dance groups get a
chance to perform and give performances. There are contests and competitions for folk dances at
events such as county fairs and state fairs or carnivals also. If there is not enough money to host these
events, then there won't be many folk dances taking place.

Reflective Analysis
Directions: Write 3 most important things that you have learned from this module. Limit your ideas to
150 words only.
From the topic about dance, I knew that dance is a rhythmic movement of one's body to music
and inside a certain location for the aim of conveying a thought or feeling, releasing energy or simply
enjoying the movement itself. Also, there are phases of dance and these are Folk Dance, Ethnic Dance,
National Dance, Natural Dance, Creative Dance, Gymnastic Dance, Social/Ballroom Dance, Modern
Dance, Recreational Dance and Singing Dance. There are also factors affecting Folk Dance and these are
Graphical location, Economic condition, Climatic condition and Customs and tradition. Lastly, I know the
difference between Modern Dance from Folk Dance. Modern dance is different because it is basically a
mix between jazz style dancing and Ballet. It helps you become more flexible and ties in different steps
from jazz, ballet, while Folk dance is a traditional or old-style dance originating among the common
people of a nation or region.
