MAX IT OUT: VALORANT TOURNAMENT JUNE 29-JULY 3, 8PM ONWARDS Kamusta! Welcome to the MAX IT OUT: VALORANT TOURNAMENT!! We’re glad to be able to host this tournament, hope you have fun competing in our tourney! Kindly read this rulebook for the guidelines and structure of the tournament! Updates will be in the Discord server where we will be posting the pairings, schedules, and updates as we go along. ____________________________________________________________________________ TEAM REQUIREMENTS - Teams must enter as a five-stack but are also allowed one substitute player and coach. - No “smurf” accounts allowed. Players must use their own and main account. - Teams must submit the following information to maximillions0 via Google forms https://bit.ly/MAXITOUTSignup, including those of the substitute player. - Team Name - In-Game Names Of Players - Nicknames Of Players (How Players Would Like To Be Called) - Peak Rank (should be no higher than Diamond 1) - Team and In-Game Names must be appropriate. No vulgar, sexually explicit, or discriminatroy language will be tolerated. - In-Game Names must not be altered after team information has been submitted. - All players, and substitutes must join maximillions0’s Discord server, The Kamusta Kafe https://discord.gg/eNmrEjGGJe, for further details, mechanics briefing, and tournament comms. Joining the MAX IT OUT: VALORANT TOURNAMENT comes with the acceptance of the guidelines stated in this rulebook and consent to appear on maximillions0’s stream. https://www.twitch.tv/maximillions0 TOURNAMENT RULES General Rules - All players must comply with the rules and guidelines set by the tournament organizers. Failure to do so can result in disqualification from the tournament. - All players must behave respectfully towards each other and every other person involved in the tournament. This applies to in-game text, Discord Voice Channel, as well as messages and comments on posts about the tournament. - All players must provide honest information. Any attempt to deceive the tournament organizers or other players with false information can result in disqualification from the tournament. - Any and all forms of cheating will not be tolerated. This includes stream sniping, exploiting game bugs, and deliberately disconnecting from the game. - Players are not allowed to leave the in-game discord calls. - The official language used for this tournament will be English. All announcements and official communication with players will be in English. On stream however, any language may be used. - maximillions0 and tournament organizers reserve the right to make decisions outside of this document in special cases to guarantee fairness. Ranks - Teams must provide their true and current ranks. If unranked because of the new act, players must provide their latest rank from the previous act. - No “smurf” accounts allowed. Players must use their own and main account. - Peak Rank should be no higher than Diamond 1 for the entirety of the tournament. If a team member reaches Diamond 2 before or during the tournament, the substitute player must play in their place. Communications - Coaches can only communicate with their teams during agent select and Tactical Timeouts. - All voice communication among teams must be done through the Discord Voice Channel. - One team member must stream their game to the Discord Voice Channel for the moderators, to ensure that all rules are being followed in-game. Moderators - Teams will be assigned a moderator in their Voice Channel throughout the game. - Moderators are not to communicate with the team outside of ensuring that they are abiding by the rules set by the tournament organizers and this rulebook. - Moderators will give teams two warnings for any rule breaking. A third infraction may result in disqualification from the tournament. TOURNAMENT FORMAT - Game Mode: 5v5 Custom - Initial Knockouts will be Best Of One. - Semifinals and Finals will be Best of Three. - There will be a special game between runner ups for the third place prize. TOURNAMENT MECHANICS Pre-Match - All players should be online in-game and in their respective Discord Voice Channels before their scheduled game. During-Match - No stream sniping - No toxicity - No using all chat in game Post-Match - Captains of the winning team may be interviewed right after the game. Technical Issues - If there is a need for a Technical Timeout, teams may use the all chat to inform the organizers. - Teams will be allowed to remake once if a player disconnects from the match due to technical issues (outside of internet connection issues). Players will be given 5 minutes to rejoin, or they may switch to the substitute. - If a game has to be reset, everyone must choose the same characters. - Players are responsible for their own internet connection. Should a player disconnect due to internet connection issues, the game will continue as normal. Post-Tournament - The winning team will receive PHP5000 via PayPal or GCash. - This will be sent to one member of the team and it is the team’s responsibility to share the winnings amongst themselves.
