Staffing Management Plan March 5, 2019 Project Name: Short Boat Float Charter Introduction: The main goal of this project is to create a start-up boat charter company named Short Boat Float Charter. This boat charter company will build a marina to dock the boats for charter as well as provide wet slip rentals for other boats owner to use. Staffing Requirements: This project will require the following internal staff: 1. Human Resource Manager – responsible for hiring staff for the charter operations, establish human resource policies for the charter company. 2. Human Resource Assistant – assist the Human Resource Manager in the hiring process, provide orientation to the new hires, prepare all required documents for new staff hired by the company and help out in daily HR operations. 3. Finance/Payroll Manager – responsible for the finance/payroll operations of the company 4. Finance/Payroll Assistant – assist the Finance/Payroll manager in daily finance/payroll operations 5. Marketing Supervisor – responsible for marketing operations of the company, formulate marketing strategies, coordinate with external vendors on marketing initiatives, establish contracts with booking operators and tour agencies 6. Marketing Assistant – assist the Marketing Supervisor on daily marketing operations 7. Purchasing Supervisor - responsible for purchasing operations of the company, negotiate contracts with suppliers, coordinate with Construction Manager on construction material requirements 8. Purchaser – assist the Purchasing Supervisor in daily purchasing operations 9. Hardware/Network/Telecoms Technician – responsible for the hardware systems maintenance, maintain network infrastructure and monitor phone system 10. Software/Application Analyst – responsible to maintain booking and charter system of the company, support financial applications used by the company 11. Boat Mechanic – responsible for maintaining the boats used for charters 12. Maintenance Supervisor – supervise marina maintenance operations 13. Maintenance Staff – assist maintenance supervisor in daily maintenance operations This project will also require the following external resources: 1. Project Manager – responsible for overall project management and coordination, communicate with project stakeholders on project progress, coordinate with Construction Manager on marina construction 2. Construction Manager – responsible for managing the marina construction, coordinate with project architect on marina design, supervise external contractors working on the project 3. Project Architect – responsible for marina design 4. Legal Consultant – provide legal services to the company 5. Building Inspector – inspect construction compliance with building code standards, report noncompliant/building violations to Construction Manager for remediation 6. Interior Designer – responsible for internal decoration/design of the marina 7. Marketing Consultant – assist Marketing Supervisor to develop marketing strategies, create plan for different marketing initiatives (i.e. advertisements in print, radio, website, social media) to announce the new boat charter company, help negotiate contracts with media outlets (i.e. magazines, radio stations). 8. Yacht Sales Broker – advise charter company on boat type to purchase, assist in choosing the boat that meets charter requirements, negotiate with builder on boat price and warranties and finalize documents required for the boats purchase. Staff Assignments: The project manager will work with internal and external staffs during the duration of the project. He will communicate with both internal and external staffs on project status and project issues. He will liaise between the internal staff and external staffs to ensure that the project is on track and deliverables are met. He will mediate any issues between internal and external staffs to find a resolution. The project manager will provide periodic updates to charter management on project status. Training and Rewards: All project staffs have the appropriate expertise to perform their roles within the project. In case trainings are needed, project manager will map the required training and seek approval from charter management to source out/arrange these trainings. Once approved, project manager will provide schedules to allow staff to attend and complete the trainings. Project manager will provide assessments and appraisals on staff performances during the project. This will serve as input to charter management in case they decide to provide rewards to the project team if the project achieves the goal (marina is completed within 1 year) and the charter is able to launch their business within the same timeframe. They have completed numerous marina projects in the Bahamas. 2. Marina Architects: Core Architects Core Architects designed the Dubai Marina – a residential and recreational waterfront community along the Arabian Gulf. 3. Yacht Builder: Princess Motor Yacht Sales Model F62 - This model encapsulates meticulous design and all the benefits of infusion technology, enabling the features normally possible only on much larger craft.
