ABC Activity Mats ABC Little Books ABC Editable Collage Pages Terms CLIP of CARDS Use ALPHABET This activity set includes 26 ABC clip cards, 1 clip book cover, and printable arrows. You will also need at least one clip clothespin to complete the activity. You may use the cover and bind the clip cards into a clipbook, or you may choose to use the clip cards on their own. Directions: 1. Print and laminate the clip cards, and arrows. Cut them out on the dotted lines. 3. Attach a laminated arrow to the top of a clothespin clip with double stick tape, glue dots, or with a glue gun. The arrow should point towards the end of the clothespin that opens. You may find that adding a sticker or something else to the end of the clothespin will be more motivating than an arrow for some kids. My kiddo is an animal lover so he would love it if I put a sticker or picture of a dog on the end of the clothespin clip. Then, the dog could “search for” and “eat” the correct lowercase letter choice. Use your imagination, and do what works best for your child. 4. To create a clip card book, punch a hole in the top left corner of the cover and on each clip card. Bind the cover and clip cards together with a ring or brad. Ideas For Use: ABC Matching: Children identify the capital letter on the top of the car, examine the 3 lowercase letters at the bottom of the card, and attach the arrow/clothespin clip to the matching lowercase letter. You may make the cards self-checking by adding a little mark or dot on the back of the card directly behind the correct letter choice. Additional Activities: Children can finger trace the letters as they look through the cards, they can find the letters in their names, and they can practice the letter sounds.
