What is Accreditation?
Accreditation is viewed as a process by which an
institution at the tertiary level evaluates its educational
activities, in whole or in part, and seeks an independent
judgment to confirm that it substantially achieves its
objectives, and is generally equal in quality to
comparable institutions. Dr. Manuel T. Corpus

Issues and Problems Encountered in the
Implementation of Accreditation in Terms of
Processes, Methods, and Tools Used
1. Online Conduct of Accreditation Because of the Pandemic
2. Health Hazards and Minimal Movements for the Extension and
Community Involvement because of the Pandemic
3. Accreditors have different views and interpretations of the same
or standardized benchmarking instruments
4. Bench-marking instruments are not “tailored fit” for the
institution or program applying for accreditation
5. Costly for F2F Accreditation

My Personal Analysis on the Implications of Accreditation
In Educational Administration of Institutions
1. Provides national and international recognition
2. Provides competitive advantage and enhances credibility
3. Ensures quality in the academic and administrative processes
3.1 promotes program improvement and offers a competitive
advantage for programs, students, and careers
3.2 encourages planning, identifies areas for change, and provides
substantial information that can be used to support resource
decisions
3.3 contributes to the assurance that graduates of these programs
have formal preparation that meets nationally accepted standards
and quality

CONCLUSION
How to maintain a high level of accreditation in the
university:
Quality assurance must become a culture or
Quality assurance must be embedded in the
university’s system and practices.
