Direction: Answer all the questions as indicated below by writing it on the space provided. (5 Points each)
.
1.What kind of material should be documented? What kind of material need not be documented?
Answer:Any specific ideas, views, or facts that we evaluated, abstracted, or quoted from somebody else's
material must be documented and backed up by a citation to the actual source. Any direct quotes from a
written source or an interview, paraphrases and summaries, facts and concepts that are not common
knowledge or are not available in a standard reference book, and any borrowed content that appears to be
our idea, if not acknowledged, must all be documented. The only thing we don't have to document is
common knowledge, primarily information renowned to the public at large and knowledge consented to by
the vast bulk of people in a professional field, such as Einstein's theory of relativity, which requires no
citation. When we fail to properly document, our academic integrity may be called into question, as it may
appear that we are attempting to pass off someone else's work as our own, perhaps resulting in plagiarism.
By appropriately documenting, we foster credibility and legitimacy by informing the reader that we examined
experts whose views and knowledge are supported by our thinking, making our point of view and argument
more reliable.
2.What is the point of central idea of the essay? What does the essay say about the larger implications of
the trend?
Answer:A central idea is an author's foundational stance, viewpoint, and the ultimate theme he intends to
make regarding the subject. It encloses the essay's dominating concept and provides direction and
coherence to all the writing's distinct parts. The central idea highlights and summarizes the essay's
fundamental premise, giving our writing direction, purpose, and emphasis, and presenting the reader with an
outline of the primary issue.Without a strong central idea, an essay might become meandering or
incoherent, leaving the reader uncertain of what we intend to convey. A powerful central idea demonstrates
that our essay is concentrated on a clear and succinct issue and that we have a clearly defined purpose. It
also informs the reader how we intend to perceive the relevance of the topic under discussion.
An excellent essay is pertinent to the issue at hand and anticipates things that will happen in the
future, relying on our own observations, research, and discussions, providing individuals a sense of
awareness of the world around them and equipping them to prepare for the future from all aspects.Essay
writing is evolving through the trends that make it easy nowadays to write an impressive piece of content.
The writer should be well-read and informed about these current issues and optimize their content according
to the trend. In essay writing, content quality is more highly regarded than keyword density. It should explain
the idea perfectly, with the support of reliable information. Writers should not remain closed off; they need to
employ the current trends in their essays to provide quality and trustworthy arguments.
3.What makes an academic writing efficient? Explain briefly.
Answer: Academic writing is clear, succinct, focused, systematic, and evidence-based. Academic writing is
well-structured and concise; it discusses the issue and exhibits knowledge of the subject. It is well-written,
follows a logical flow, and pulls together relevant topics and information. Academic writing is precise, clear,
and balanced, and it employs suitable vocabulary and tenses. Academic writing demonstrates subject
knowledge, supports viewpoints and arguments with evidence, and is appropriately acknowledged. The
objective of academic writing is to convey complicated concepts in such a way that they are less likely to be
contested and to provide readers with a source of wisdom and extensive knowledge that they can keep.
