While reading I felt the emotions
of the characters. In the end the
characters got an arguably
‘happy’ ending which made me
happy. By experiencing these
emotions I felt pleasure. Kant’s
criteria to deeming something as
beautiful requires pleasure to be
experienced. My experience of
this pleasure and Kant’s
definition confirms my opinion
that the book 1000 splendid suns
is beautiful.
I thought the sight at Lake
Moraine was beautiful because it
looked surreal. The details of
everything I saw and the fact that
it looked such a way on its own
and it was scenery designed by
God which no human can imitate
made it more beautiful. St.
Augustine said that anything
made by God be beautiful. His
definition of beauty reassures by
opinion that the sunset at lake
moraine was beautiful.
Religion and culture are part of
my moral principles.

involves morals as well as our
senses. His view reinforces my
view that the prayer mat is

religious peace which are core
principles for me. Additionally
it pleasantly appeals to the
senses of touch and sight.
