TOPIC IS – INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOUR. Submitted By: Mohammad Afzal BBA (2nd SEM). Section : A. BEHAVIOR Individual behavior can be defined as a mix of responses to external and internal stimuli. It is the way a person reacts in different situations and the way someone expresses different emotions like anger, happiness, love, etc. • Task performance- Task performance refers to goaldirected behaviors under the individual's control that support organizational objectives. • Organizational Citizenship-Companies could not effectively compete, transform resources or serve the needs of their stakeholders if employees performed only their formal job duties. • Counterproductive Work Behaviors-counterproductive work behaviors (CWBs) Voluntary behaviors that have the potential to directly or indirectly harm the organization. • Joining and Staying with the OrganizationTask performance, organizational citizenship and the lack of counterproductive work behaviors are obviously important, but if qualified people don't join and stay with the organization, none of these performance-related behaviors will occur. • Maintaining Work AttendanceAlong with attracting and retaining employees, organisations need everyone to show up for work at scheduled times. Situational factors—such as severe weather or car breakdown—explain some work absences. INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOR IN THE ORGANIZATION On the basis of these elements , psychologist Kurt Lewin stated the Field theory and outlined the behavior framework. This psychological theory studies the patterns of interaction between an individual and the environment. The theory is expressed using the formula B = F ( P,E ) where , B- Behavior , F- Behavior Function , P- Person , and E- Environment around the person
