That is a book Notes: ‘वह’ is the demonstrative pronoun meaning ‘that’. It should be used when the object being spoken about is not within reaching distance of the speaker. The auxillary verb “है” (infinitive “होना” means “am”, “is”, or “are” depending on the number of the subject. It occurs at the end of the sentence in a simple or a clause. In an interrogative sentence like “वह क्या है?”. The auxillary “है” is shortened to an -e and the sentence may sound like this “ये क्या है?”.
