Project Scope
Problem statement
In the present system, the recipient handles all patient details, doctor's availability details, and
medical examinations determined by the doctor. The manual handling of the record is timeconsuming and highly prone to error. The Hospital Management System is designed to
replace any existing hospital manual paper-based system. A new digitalized management
system gives information on Room availability, appointment scheduling, patient previous
medical records, patient reports, and covid records of the hospital. These services are to be
provided efficiently cost-effectively, intending to reduce the time and resources currently
required for such tasks.
Objectives
1. To digitalize all the patient and hospital details.
2. Scheduling appointments of a patient with doctors would be comfortable for both.
3. It should handle all the test reports of patients conducted in labs of the hospital, which
would be available to patients on a patient portal.
4. It should display all previous hospital visits on the patient portal.
5. The real-time information regarding the current availability of covid beds, total covid
patients in hospital, cured/discharged covid patients, and total covid related deaths to
date shall be displayed.

Project description
Hospital Management System provides the benefits of enhanced administration, control,
superior patient care, and improved profitability. It is designed to replace any existing
hospital manual paper-based system. A new digitalized management system gives
information on appointment scheduling, previous medical records, and covid records. These
services are to be provided efficiently cost-effectively, intending to reduce the time and
resources currently required for such tasks. Hospital Management System is custom built to
meet the specific requirement of the mid and large-size hospitals across the globe. All the
required modules and features will be constructed mainly to just fit into the condition.

Application
The application of this system is in multispecialty hospitals, where it can be used to automate patient
management. It will include storing patient records like reports and personal information efficiently. It
will also check for covid bed records and the doctor that will be assigned to a particular patient.
