Assalam-o-Alaikum!
Oh! What a relief to have done with the final exams!
So, Children don’t go out and wander during the noon. Prefer playing all your outdoor games
in the mornings between 7-9 a.m. Now, how to beat the heat and yet engage yourself in
interesting activities, we have got a bundle of brain raking, mind blowing, creative and fun
filled activities to keep you busy during the peak hours of high degree i.e., in the afternoons!
Note for Parents:
To ensure that the children have a constructive holiday, some Holiday Homework & Projects
are given which will keep the child active and observant. These projects can easily be done
by the children and you could assist only where required. These will indeed provide an
enjoyable learning experience.
1. Create a summer task’s folder/file.
2. Place dividers for classifying the subject areas.
3. Written work of all subjects must be done on loose sheets.
4. Kindly guide your child to do the work carefully.
5. Follow the teacher’s instructions.
6. Write day and date at the corner of each page.
7. Use of recycled material for model making and other projects will be appreciated.
8. Computer projects can be added into the summer task folder in printed form.

Stick Craft
Material:





Twigs/ sticks
Jute string or any colourful thick thread.
Cardboard
Scissors
Adhesive/ UHU
Methodology:






Gather some thin Sticks and hold them together from the top.
Take some yarn or strings and tie them tight from the top.
Cut out a circular cardboard and pierce the sticks from the end side of the sticks as shown in the image.
Now join with the help of threads from all sides.
Cover the sticks with colourful threads.
Place a small planter on the base.

Activity 2:
International Day of friendship ( 30th July)

This day is also known as World Friendship Day.Friendships are about mutual giving and taking, meaning
each person contributes to the relationship to make it strong and beneficial.

The idea of celebrating friendships came about in the 1930s through the greeting cards company.

Let’s revive the day by crafting a friendship craft for your best friend.
Material:

Embroidery floss/thin yarn( Pink or Blue)

Scissors

Tape or pins/safety pins
Methodology:

Cut 2 strands of embroidery floss about 2 ft long, fold in half and knot in the middle to make a loop. Secure
with tape to a table or board.

Cord 1 is on the left (both pink strands) Cord 2 is on the right (both blue strands). Cord 1 is the holding cord.

Use Cord 2 to tie a Half Hitch. A Half Hitch is tied by moving Cord 2 under the holding cord (pink) then
over it, and back under Cord 2 on the right.

Pull Cord 2 up to tighten. Keep the Cord 2 end on the right when you are done.

For the second knot, Cord 2 becomes the holding cord. Use Cord 1 to tie a Half Hitch by moving Cord 1
under the holding cord.

Flip Cord 1 over Cord 2, then back under Cord 1 on the left.

Pull Cord 1 up to tighten. Keep the Cord 1 end on the left when you are done.

Continue to alternate back and forth between the two cords to form the rest of the bracelet.

1. Read the storybook Mission Cycle and write your review.
2. Make a beautiful dictionary of your own vocabulary words. Add two new words daily in it and also write
sentences of those words in your dictionary.
(You can make the dictionary with the help of hard chart paper and colorful computer papers. You can
also decorate the title page of your dictionary as you like)
3. Go for a morning walk and observe nature then make a list of all those things which you have seen in your
surroundings then sort out them as proper nouns, common nouns and also use them in your sentences by
adding adverbs and adjectives.
4. Create a memory book by sharing the day’s importance of Eid-Ul-Adha and decorate it.
5. Prepare a dictionary having minimum 5 words each alphabet (new words) with meanings to enhance the
vocabulary. Cover it with beautiful Covert & put a bookmark in it with a moral value written on bookmark.
