Top-of-mind
Jeff’s to-dos (in order of priority):
1. Launch the new iPhone 20 that has the same functionalities as the iPhone 10
2. Discussion with Tim on how much budget we can spend on the next Apple event
3. Test out the new Tesla x Apple hybrid car
4. Launch the new Surface Book from Microsoft
5. Schedule interview with Ali Abdaal
Outstanding questions:
● Need to ask Global: Can we go back to having offline events at some point this year?

April 30 - Q3 Planning
(Satya Nadella)
Objective
Discuss how Surface Book can overtake M1 MacBooks and iPads in sales
- Target QoQ increase in market share?
- Are we allowed to bribe Tim Cook?
Key Takeaways
1. User feedback → The Surface Book has retained the same design language since 2015
2. M1 chip likely to outperform other chips within Apple’s hardware ecosystem for the next year
3. New emerging target audience → Content creators on the go
Notes
● Have you seen the original 13-inch 2015 Surface Book, or its 2018 followup? Then this new version is going to look
and feel very familiar. In fact, you're likely to be underwhelmed by the design.
○ That's not because it's bad, but rather because it's the same.
○ It's not unusual for Apple to release three samey-looking MacBook Pros in a row, or for Dell to do so with its
XPS line, but those laptops come out every year
● TIRED
○ Expensive for what you get. Hybrid design leaves screen with no kickstand, making it hard to use. No
Surface Pen included.
● WIRED
○ Great keyboard, excellent screen, solid trackpad. The top-end configurations with discrete graphics offer
plenty of power for design, gaming, even video editing. Battery life is good.
●
Two minute review
○ Just take a look at the Surface Book 3 to see how far the best laptops have truly come over the last few years.
The previous model, the Surface Book 2, was a strong rival to the MacBook Pro with the added benefit of a
removable keyboard. Only a handful of devices could offer that kind of elegance and quality when the
Surface Book 2 entered the fray.
■ However, a lot has changed in the laptop market since then, with quite a number of premium
machines with impressive components and cutting-edge features vying for attention. For instance,
the Razer Blade Studio and Dell XPS 15 both couple svelte and light design with top-of-the-line
internals for the kind of performance that pros and content creators want to have access to in a
portable
