
Light intensity in
photosynthesis
Research question
How does light intensity affect rate of
photosynthesis?
This is to test how light intensity affects the rate of
how the plants makes their own food and why
does it affect .
Hypothesis
If light is increased then the rate of photosynthesis
will also increase because much light make
photosynthesis to occur faster.
Requirements
Boiling tube
Sodium hydrogen carbonate solution
Source of light
Clamp/test tube holder
Beaker
Aquatic plant
Tongs
Independent variable
Light intensity
Dependent variable
Distance of the Source of light
Control variable
Bubbles

Precautions
Observe keenly
Wear the right attire in the lab when conducting
the experiment.
Procedure

Clamp the test tube onto the clamp stand
/put on the test tube holder
 Put the sodium hydrogen carbonate into the
test tube

Pop it in the solution

Cut the the stem while under the solution
using the tongs

Count the number of bubbles.
