Task step
Description
Set the ruling price condition
The ruling price condition is required to read the most current price for prod
ucts from the back-end system. The default ruling price condition profile deliv
ered by SAP is VKPF. You must ensure that this condition is active and assigned
to the store through the following Customizing activity:
●
Logistics - General
Store Operations

Define Basic Settings for UI5 Apps
If you do not see the VKPF condition type in the list, or if you would like to cre
ate your own condition type, use the following Customizing activities to create
the required pricing rule condition type:

Create the condition type.
Sales and Distribution
Basic Functions
Pricing
Pricing Control
Define Condition Types
2. Assign the VKPF condition type to the VKP001 pricing procedure.

Task step
Description
Configure settings to retrieve product im
You can choose to retrieve product images either by binary string or by URL ad
ages
dress. Implement BADI_RTST_ARTICLE_IMAGE (BAdI: Definition of Product
Image Retrieval Format) to set the format you will use to retrieve product im
ages. You can find the BAdI at the following location:
Logistics General
Store Operations
Management - UI5 Apps
In-Store Merchandise and Inventory
Business Add-Ins
Image retrieval by binary string
If you choose to retrieve product images by binary string but you do not imple
ment BADI_RTST_ARTICLE_IMAGE, the DMS implementation of BAdI: Image
Retrieval for UI5 Apps (RETAIL_ST_SUPP_DATA_QUERY) will be used to re
trieve product images by default.
Whether you accept or choose the default option, you can still change the de
fault image retrieval provider (DMS) to another one of your choice. You do this
by implementing RETAIL_ST_SUPP_DATA_QUERY. Refer to the item below for
details about the settings you need to make.
Image retrieval by URL address
If you decide to use the retrieval by URL address option to retrieve product im
ages, you must still implement BADI_RTST_ARTICLE_IMAGE to retrieve the
product images. If this BAdI is not implemented, the implementation of
BADI_ARTICLE_DATA_PROVIDER is used to retrieve the product images by
URL address.

Task step
Description
When you use the Document Management System (DMS) provided by SAP as
the product image provider, you must configure settings to enable product im
age downloads in BAdI: DMS Configuration for Image Retrieval By UI5 Apps. You
can find the BAdI at the following location:
Logistics General
Store Operations
Management - UI5 Apps
In-Store Merchandise and Inventory
Business Add-Ins
Then do the following:
1.
Create a document for a desired image.
In DMS, execute transaction CV01N, and make the following settings:
○
Document Type = DRW
○
Document Part = 000
○
Document Version = -
Press Enter and make the Document Status = WR (Work Request).
2. Upload the desired image file and make the following settings:
○
WSAPPLICATION = THU
○
Defined storage category = DMS_C1_ST
3. Link the document to a related product number in the back-end system.

Note
Because the BAdIs for the configuration for product images can be shared
by all the UI5 store operations apps, if you define this BAdI once for one
app, it can be used by any other app without further customizing for that
app.
Provide information about nearby stores
Provide location information about nearby stores through GeoCoding. If you
still want to use transaction WSD_CBP you need to implement the BAdI
RETAIL_ST_PL_GET_NB_STORE_ENH.
Setup similar products (variants of ge
Create variants of generic articles through transaction MM41. This transaction
neric articles)
relates products to other similar products.
Additional Configuration-Related Information

BSP service (RTST_REUSES1).
