Towards a systemic approach for eradicating poverty and
inequality
Post the 25th commemoration of South Africa’s attainment of democracy, it is
all the more important to address conceptual issues around poverty and
inequality since we now hold the unflattering status as the most unequal
country in the world.
We must account for its durability and persistence.. Are there elements of a South
African explanation of poverty and inequality that are distinctive and different from
an explanation of poverty and inequality in other contexts and countries?
