Students who wish to study in Dubai require a Study Visa, which is valid for full-time
programs.
The student visa is valid for 12 months, so students must renew their visa at the end of
the 12-month period if their program is longer than that. Students are given short-term
visas for programs less than 12 months.
In Dubai, the UAE's most expensive city, tuition fees for an undergraduate program ranges
between 37,500 to 70,000 AED per year and a postgraduate program is between 55,000 to
75,000 AED per year. An extra 1,200 AED (330 USD) per month should generally be
included for general living expenses.
National and International Students are eligible for UAE University Scholarships.
Moreover, must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, in all
undergraduate work. Likewise, English Language Requirements.
The school is part of the Innoventures Education group. Dubai International Academy
opened its doors on September 10, 2005, with 500 students from 55 countries.
There are around 140 international schools in Dubai with a mix of English National
Curriculum / British schools, International Baccalaureate and American schools
dominating.
Beyond that there are Swiss, German, French, Indian and UAE schools, so most
requirements can be met for expat families making Dubai their home.
